Here's a couple of examples:

"PROUD_SCOUSER: @MrIanHolloway you and your son of a peado chairman take the £4 million and fuck off you hook nosed tractor driving baldy twat.” another bit of poor banter

Ali_AVFC @MrIanHolloway yeah a big club like Aston Villa FC you ****, hope Blackpool get relegated

“@pritpalbhurji: @MrIanHolloway you fucking ****! Hope you northern pricks get relegated! Let him leave to Come to Villa!!!!!! Holloway u gonna get jacked!!” your a very funny kid

“@iFDAuk: @MrIanHolloway Do you ever get bored of the abuse?” find it quite amusing to be honest

MrIanHolloway
the PR man at Blackpool thinks I should stop retweeting abuse from people! Don't see why i find it quite amusing

I am 99% sure it's the real Ian Holloway and if it is fair play for him for taking it in such good humour. There are some really intellectually inept people out there.

As long as they aren't playing Spurs, I'm a Blackpool fan this season. They have done fantastically and I hope it continues.

This situation is the same situation many other teams hve found themselves in and good on Blackpool for standing firm. £4m is a joke offer, if Adam was at any other PL side the offer wouldn't be that silly. His contract is running down, so it won't be a monster amount, but more than £4m. Pienaar was £3m, he is 4-5yr older and only had 6 months left, Adam has 18 months?

Also as I saw someone say this morning, if they hang onto Adam and he walks at the end of his contract, they have lost £4m, but if he keeps them in the PL, they stand to earn many times that fee. Just depends on if Adam will be professional and see out the contract or kick up a stink.

Someone also mentioned he is on 7,500k a week? To me that already seems obscene, but if I was in a similar situation and 'Pool or Villa came in and, I'm guessing, would offer many times that per week, it would turn my head too.

Good on him!

He really is old-school isn't he? I love the way he doesn't play the game and just does/says what the hell he likes. I may not always agree with him and the things he says, but I don't 'alf respect the loon.

Love him, Ollie is an utter gent and a real breath of fresh air amongst the stuck up continental style so common amongst Prem managers.

Why is he being barraged by so much abuse anyways? Is it just because he re-posts it with comments?

Someone who uses that, pass on a few friendly comments from us, eh?

Kudos to OH!

Totally agree with you, RSS, Holloway really is a breath of fresh air. Compared to the stale and blandly repetitive responses we get week after week after week from the other managers, it's so nice to listen to someone with something to say for once.

Redknapp will occassionally throw a curveball in the interview stakes, but only on occassion.

I'd have said it would have been about his comments about Charlie Adam. He doesn't deserve the grief he's been getting from the knuckledraggers at Liverpool and Villa.

I like him. But I like him as another team's manager. I think I might not be so fond of him, if he were managing us

I think he's briliant. A real breath of fresh air and a very good manager too. Any manager who can do as well as they have with Marlon Harewood in their squad deserves praise

On the whole, I like the guy. He sometimes speaks rubbish, but it's usually amusing rubbish, and I like his attitude.

The guy is funny but thats where it stops for me. If someone bids £3m for your player, just say no thank you! end of!! What's with the insulting bids talk?? Do you really think managers bid what the listed price is? How are you going to know if a player is available unless you ask? Holloway brightened up the EPL with his outspoken honesty but he's fast becoming a clown with all that crap!

I agreed with holloway initially, but he's coming across a right prick now. Naming clubs that have bid for Adam etc, going over the top in interviews about these 'disgraceful' bids. Is Adam really width more than £4m or so? Really?

I'm glad Adam has submitted a transfer request, maybe thatll shut the tosser up about the whole thing.

Agree with that, it's not "disgraceful" for a club to bid, in private, what they think a player is worth.

He's being very unprofessional about the whole saga.

It is disgraceful for a club to bid a derisory sum of money for a player who in todays market is probably worth triple that value.

It doesn't matter what Charlie Adam is worth in monetry terms compared to other players, to Blackpool he is worth whatever it takes to keep them in the PL. Which I would put at 30m +.

Yes, I know they are not going to get that, but they can ask for more than 4m which is derisery.

Charlie Adam could make the difference bewtween them satying up or going down. Without your best player it is easy to get sucked into the battle.

Fair play to Holloway and to Carl Oyston for digging there heels in.

Exactly my point. Well said. If the little clubs don't try and make a stand and point out the big clubs taking the piss, then they are never going to learn.

If my mate made me a genuine serious offer for my house worth £500,000 at £20,000 I would tell him to fuck off and not keep it quiet.

I don't see why alot of people feel Blackpool should just hand over Adam to Liverpool just because they are Liverpool. If they want him to have to compensate Blackpool accordingly, and considering he is their best player they are fully within their rights to want £10 million+ for him.

I'm sick and fucking tired of the attitude that you just have to bend over and take it from a bigger club, because they are "bigger"
