I liked Lamela but can’t agree with that comment. When Winks first broke into the side and for a couple of seasons he was a very good player. Sadly for some reason whether injury or confidence he never pushed on. I really hope that by playing regularly he finds his was again as I still feel there’s a good player in there.

I quite like that we’ve given ourselves the two final days of the window to just try and get that one player in. We’ve got Gil all ready to go, so we can make that space if we need to.

Could be a fun 48 hours right?

Based on the amount of freaking out going on tonight I'm not sure that fun is the right word.

Disappointed that it's come to this - there was definitely some talent there and everyone wants a local boy from the academy to do well - but his career has fallen off a cliff since Pochettino left.

Hard to believe he's still only 26 - seems like forever ago he was starting for England and shitting all over Real Madrid's legendary midfield during their "3-peat" season. Don't see him playing for us again after his loan but if he learns to pass the ball forwards then you never know...

This. I feel like the primary target is being kept a secret from everyone. Someone not in the media and someone even the ITK aren't aware of. A real surprise signing.. Well we can but hope!

I think his move to Sampdoria will be the perfect catalyst to re-energise his career. At Spurs he had become stale, and didn't seem to be interested in pushing beyond his own limitations (as far as I can tell). A new country and league to a new team away from the safe environment that he's grown up in, perhaps with a team that wants to play a passing game. He's got something to prove and now a platform to do it

Thanks Harry for living the dream we all wish we could have lived. You’ve given Tottenham 20 years of your life and I thank you for all you did for us. I’m sure it’s been hard to leave us after being with us so long but now it’s time to move on to pastures new. Grasp this new opportunity with both hands and I’m sure everything will work out fine.
Here’s wishing you all the best.
Whatever happens you’ll always be one of our own.

I just want him to leave because I used to really rate him when he first came into the team and expected a lot of him.

He never really developed at all and is the same player he was all those years ago. We have seen what he has to offer and it’s no longer what we need so I’d rather his spot goes to someone who can compete
He was never really the same after his injury, against Burnley I think.

Good luck to him. Gets to spend a year in Italy too, not bad.

It was the right thing to happen. Mad thinking back to the champions league final run how important he was when we literally had no centre midfielders.

Always thought he missed an opportunity to show a bit of humour when he passed on #40. Joe Root on the other hand - #66.
