It's beautiful to see so many on here share what Kane has meant to them as Spurs fans; how he has helped connect fathers, daughters, and fans in general. It is also weirdly sweet to see how hurt many of us are, because it's proof of our collective love for the club – which is always going to be bigger than the one player.

Simultaneously, it is sad that in today's football, even top role model-family man-one of our own Harry Kane values the personal accolades more than being a one club man. Many players win a lot of club titles, almost none become the very fabric of the club they came from. A Bundesliga title or whatever (or even a CL title) will never carry the same weight as that would have done, if he had stayed.

He will obviously still be a Spurs legend (he already is), but he could have become the one name to rise above all the others, throughout the rest of the club's history. I won't judge him as a person for leaving, but I will mourn that part of football, which truly seems to be dead, even though it is bigger than everything else.

If we’d of given him titles he’d still be here. Don’t blame him, should of gone a long time ago in retrospect.
He deserves his shot at glory.

Doesn’t change the fact that going to Bayern for trophies is like losing your virginity to a hooker, but being real we’d all prefer a hooker from time to time.

Good luck H, happy shagging.
Given him titles? Pardon?

Watching those videos makes me feel as though my Mrs has just left me for some young buck with a massive choad that makes her eyes roll to the back of her head. I feel dreadful 😞
You're not alone with those thoughts.
I also feel a bit like how I do for my girl previous to my wife, I miss her and wish things could've worked out, can't think of her with someone else but wish all the best for her, knowing we'll never speak again. Things move on though and good times return, different but equally beautiful and I still have all those wonderful memories.

I’m very glad I am not some of the people on here.

He is just another player to me now. Will bring back fond memories but Ginola, Gazza, Bale, in 15 years time those players will still give me the shivers more, even if they only played a few season a

My emotional bond to Harry Kane was broken when he didn’t turn up for training during the Man City debacle. I’d spent all pre season telling people how professional he was. It didn’t stop my admiring him as a football player and as a supreme goal scorer. He was captain in all but name and of great importance to the club that will not be denied, and he will be greatly missed. All I can say is I’m not gutted like when Hoddle and Waddle were sold, or when Gazza and Ginola left. At the end of the day Kane wanted to leave, Bayern finally came up with the money in the end and the new Spurs era starts.

This is exactly how I feel about the situation.

He will missed. But not as much as I have missed others who went before him.

I actually sold my Kane shirt back then (City)... I was certain he was gone and I was angry. 🤷‍♂️😁 ... but it still hurts now that he is on his way out. Weird.

I remember taking my eldest to aldershot to watch Chelsea u21 v spurs u21, had a brief hello and handshake with Kane and the team back then, we’ll my lad did anyway.
Kane didn’t stand out at all then, and my lad was more chuffed that he met Gomes (our crazy Brazilian keeper).

anyway, Kane is the absolute definition and inspiration for kids about work ethic to reach the top, especially more so that I have a kid trying to do the same thing in football.

I’m a bit meh about it all now, I really can’t blame him for wanting out, years of shit around him, good luck to him and here’s hoping some ange magic will work in creating a team rather than the 1 man show we became.

Someone mentioned that we should have a few more mural walls like Greaves, Hoddle, Gaza etc as will balance it out and then won’t be quite as embarrassing while celebrating our heritage.
That and that long awaited Bill Nic statue!!! I wish we could really get the club to take notice.
The Bill Nic statue was actually mentioned I believe in the latest Supporters Trust meeting. One of the Ideas is of the statue being with the gates like the famous pic

It's gonna be a huge step for him tbf. New country, new language, new golf courses. This is the most he will have been outside of his comfort zone in about 10 years.

Obviously the guy is class but if we now spunked 100m on a 30 year old striker (a class one) and gave him a 4 year contract people on here would be moaning. It is crazy money Bayern are spending.

If he was any old striker sure, but for Kane it's a good deal. Age isn't a big deal in his case, I don't think. He'll be gold for another 5 years.

Basically just bought themselves 150 goals.

Yeah, I get it! Not taking the piss. Just saying he looks like he’s bricking it! I moved to a new city last year and it took me a good couple of months to adjust! It’s mad how you react when you move away from everything you’ve ever known!
