Who we will bring in I'm not 100% sure, but Levy will know the pitchforks will be out if he doesn't act very quickly. There is no way he doesn't bring in a couple more by UTD, otherwise the atmosphere could be toxic in our opening home game of the season.
Could......Levy shall never be forgiven. Ever

The big irony in all this is that it was our desperate attempts to appease Kane and get the trophy monkey off his back in getting 2 successful but the antithesis of Spurs managers that has led us to this position in the first place.

It'll sting but the badge on the front is bigger than any name on the back.

Clubs around us buying players for 100 + Tottenham selling their best player. Just another day as Spurs fan. Poor Ange he will have to ensure INSANE boos at the stadium if we have a rough start. And it is all Levy’s fault

Kane has given us so much over the years’

Fuck off.

We gave him the chance to develop as a youngster.

We gave him the opportunity to play football for a living and get paid very, very well to do so.

We found opportunities for him to go out and develop his craft when he got older.

We gave him the chance to play on the biggest stages, against the best teams and in the most prestigious competitions in the world.

We provided the platform for him to develop a profile high enough to secure huge commercial deals which alone have made him more money than most of us would see in fifty lifetimes.

We let him have his say on club operations.

Let’s not forget that he is where he is in life because of THFC, not despite it.

If we spend some of the Kane money on Fati, it would be another pure opportunity signing because Levy can get him cheap. And he'd be cheap because his knee is totally fucked. He had multiple ops to repair his wrecked meniscus and simply isn't the same player anymore.

This isn't just a player who's lost form, it's a player who sadly isn't capable of what he could do before. It would be signing him based on how he performed before his injury, but this isn't Fifa.

This article goes into it in detail.

Not saying we won't bring players in. But the idea that we're going to be able to properly replace Kane is laughable.

I know lots in here just giddy for transfers, but come on.

With Kane, Lloris and likely Holjberg off the books we should be in a position to go big on some recruits as our wage bill must be incredibly low for a club of our size.

I'd like four players in - a young striker, a top winger who primarily can play on either side, a young midfielder and a very very good centre back.

Yes we have a huge squad but if Levy gets his arse in gear we should lose 10 odd players over the next week or so.
We signed bissouma to replace hojbjerg last year. That's how it works right?

i hope you are right but history tells us Levy does very little just to please the fans

i don't begrudge harry a move, its just the timing of this that sucks

we go into the first match missing our top player and i expect with low morale. We so need to get off to a good start this season

Does he actually care though? He wasn’t exactly bothered about fan reaction when he authorised the ticket price increases.

I'm in no doubt they will spent the money. Ange wants another centre back so that's not wishful thinking, Holjberg it's widely repeated will be replaced by a form of a midfielder and then I personally would go big on the win option as Kulu doesn't convince me and I think Son would be lethal as a nine in Ange's system.
I'm sure we'll spend money, but we'll spend stupid money on someone like connor gallagher, lenglet and orban.

People kidding themselves we're going to go out and buy some stars.

Spend it on what though?

A hotel development?

A cheap option an agent dangles in front of him because 'its too good to turn down'?

An actual adequate replacement for Kane?

From a PR point of view quite possibly. Which isn’t the same as actually caring about the fans of course.

We shouldn't be touching Fati. Tapsoba isn't coming. Neither is Muani.
Yes should have made clear it was more of an ideological viewpoint than what I think will materialise in that do people want to prioritise funds allocated towards a striker coming in or elsewhere in the squad (defensively).

Going to be significant player turnover at this club in the coming days/few weeks and fuck knows what will be the makeup come 1st September.

The only star I wanted was a winger and I use the term star loosely because I don't expect Mitoma or Salah. A young exciting winger who can play both sides with electric pace is the sort of profile I'd want.
