Given he’s got this chance to go to Bayern or he does that it will be pretty shitty but also given how Levy has let Kane down and how apparently he blocked the move to City 2 summers ago going back on a gentleman’s agreement then it would kind of be Karma.

It would certainly tarnish Kane’s status as a true club legend though although it would likely be City if not Utd neither who are direct London rivals so not cool at all but all things considered understandable from his side so he’s got control over his move.

The thought of it does make me a bit queasy though which brings me back to the wanting to get the £100mil now from Bayern if Kane is highly likely to just run his contract down.

So basically exactly the he same feelings and situation as it was at the start of this bloody saga.
I don't think this is a priority for Kane tbh. If he truly loved the club he would have never done what he did in 2021. Would Sonny have done such a thing? Not a chance.

I'm not saying he is completely apathetic, but I think being part of a team success on the pitch is a much bigger priority. Perhaps only when he achieves that and retires will he look back on a move with regret as it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Surely if another club made an improved offer for Harry to sign on a free next season BOTH Bayern and Spurs would have an issue with that since the deal is all "fully agreed"....

With "our" journos saying nothing at the moment, this feels like the Bayern spin machine starting to spin up and float excuses....

Because he wants to keep his options open?
Fair point but as trix framed it it sounded like he'd want to do right by the club and just wanted some assurances. A contract with provisions would be that middle ground compromise.

I’m confused as to why so many on here would prefer for Kane to stay and leave for free next year to a rival. Then to leave for 100m and to the German league. And we even have some deluding themselves that IF we do well he’ll sign a new deal. Sorry I’m with DL on this on, sign for Bayern or sign a new contract
Because we will be much better this season with him and that’s all the really matters. To be the best we can and hopefully win a trophy and finish in the CL. And generate the bulk of the 100m that we could be losing.

Future seasons will be what they will be.

This is supporting Harry Kane ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in my eyes, you are technically correct in what you are both saying, but equally siding with what's best for him over Spurs.

We've seen this movie before and it ended with our Captain at Arsenal on a free.

I genuinely believe Harry when he said he'd stay at Spurs as long as we were competitive enough to meet his ambitions. There wasn't a peep last summer when things looked promising under Conte.

Levy has failed both him the club and him with some terrible decisions in recent years.

I don't think he should be forced to take a move to Bayern for the best interests of the club if he's had a change of heart about it.

Nothing can stop my love for the club - I'll be supporting us not Bayern if he left - but for me I also want the best for Harry for all the joy he's has given me over the years. I'd love a situation where the everyone is happy but this is the real world.

If we have a good season and finish above Man Utd and he still went there on a free then I'd change my opinion of course!

Tbh that sounds 100% plausible. After all that’s seemingly what RM have done with Mbappe, essentially unofficially offered him a contract. If I’m Utd say I would be all over HK like a rash. I get that BM haven’t handled this the best but they clearly really really want him. Unlike PSG or RM Bayern never pay big bucks and aren’t funded by and oil stats, spending 100+ mil is not something they are familiar with so they were obviously going to try and do a Levy on Levy. The fact is BM have been 100% focused on getting him for weeks and unlike City actually offered what we wanted in the end. I’m not really sure what other proof Kane needs to know they want him.

Idk, I just don’t see that a realistic reason for Kane to back out. Something doesn’t sit right with me. I get the family question but that’s not a new situation. Also I’m sure BM wouldn’t have waisted all this time unless they were sure he wanted to move.

This time last year Kane had already packed up his house and was on the brink of joining City. Obviously the deal fell through but he still lost his house and had to find another property. It’s safe to say he hasn’t done the same this year.
That's just not true. Maybe 2 years ago but not last year.

If you feel that way then fair enough, I'm torn myself. I just wonder how many who say keep him no matter what will feel in a year if he leaves to utd for nothing. I suspect many will be singing a different tune about how negligent we were to let this happen.

If this is true and he’s basically leaning towards doing an Mbappe, I’m going to be quite disappointed in him.

Being a legend in a club also includes leaving the club with a healthy fee (that’s now been agreed) rather than running down the last year of the contract for his own financial benefit.
I
Take the Spurs tinted glasses off. Unfortunately all signs are pointing to him leaving on a free to one of RM, City, United or Barca next summer. And i'm sure Chelsea and Arsenal will try their luck - we cannot completely rule out those possibilities.

I think it would take a dramatic turn around under Ange for him to give staying any consideration whatsoever.

The calculation therefore becomes is foregoing £100m and him moving to a direct rival for nothing worth it for a decent chance of CL football next season.

It's not an easy one, but i'm hoping he chooses to go.
if that we’re what he wanted there was absolutely no need for this Bayern song-and-dance

Kane won't break the record rotating with Haaland and surely he knows this.
He could be as close as 15-20 goals from the record. It doesn't matter if he's rotating with Haaland or not, he'll score that and more comfortably in less than a season at City with the volume of chances they create. Haaland had that amount before the World Cup break last season IIRC.

Of course he will. If he gets another 25 goals this season he's only about 20 off (maybe less), even in a rotated squad he'll do that in less than 2 seasons.

If, so that wat u based u theory and hopes on. There is no guarantee we will achieve any of wat u hope for. The only guarantee is £100m now and I will take that and deal with what’s to come than to hope we make CL.
