He's entitled to run his contract down. The club has failed him dating back to the shambolic recruitment in the final years under Pochettino, not to mention everything that followed. It's not his fault that the uncertainty over his future has created a media firestorm, that was completely inevitable as his contract ran down.
Of course he is entitled to do that mate, and I am FAR from Levy apologist. That man certainly has an awful lot to answer for. But there are levels, and I feel that, whichever way this turns out, it has wholly destabilised our build-up to this season.

Image of them both in Levy’s office standing at opposite ends back against the wall just staring at each other…
With Charlie sat on the floor in the middle, playing with stickle bricks. 🤣

Both Kane and club not helping new manager once again, but it's tricky with his contract running out I guess.

Daniel Levy in 2021: you've got 3 years ledt on your contract harry, you're going to have to honour it.

Daniel Levy in 2023: sign a new deal or get the fuck out of here for £100m immediately.

I see where he's coming from but still.

Either he goes and it’s finally over, we get £100mil and we move on new chapter with Ange.

Or he stays another year it’s absolutely hilarious and very embarrassing for Bayern Munich, we get at least one more year out of Kane and ideally win something get back in top 4 and convince him to re-sign or he leaves on a free and there is none of this drama next summer because he literally just walks away.

He failed the club with his shit performances in the key matches if you want to go that way, and by negotiating deals with two clubs behind our back in the last 3 years.
I completely disagree regarding the former point, that's always been a bullshit line. He happened to be injured for two of the three cup finals that the club has reached during his tenure, and would never have played either of those matches had they not been finals. The third was in his breakout season as a 21 year old, just a youngster. He's carried the club on his back for the better part of a decade, it's insulting to suggest he hasn't done enough on the pitch when the club has been a complete fucking basket case for most of that time.

The lowest he ever stooped was the Neville interview and failure to turn up to preseason in 2021. I agree that he was in the wrong in that instance but he's made amends for it over the past two years. He's not the villain here.

Emotional damage haha 😂 blackmail I don’t know what you call it these days . Has Kane got the balls to walk away from Tottenham next year after insisting if he is to leave he wants Tottenham to profit from it .

levy will be throwing the whole damn bible at him lol 😂

Screams United.
They have just spent £72m on Hojlund. I don't get the utd reference.

If anyone in England are getting him it would be city. Pep admires him, they have obviously wanted him for a while and he would be amazing in that team.

The UTD reference has puzzled me for ages

If I were in charge of a Premier League club, knowing that Levy would charge me a Mpremium to buy Kane now, I’d wait until the Mach’s last possible moment (perhaps asking Charlie to be kept abreast should a bid be accepted) before offering Harry the world if he were willing to join on a free next season. That way I could get Harry AND disrupt Spurs’ plans for this window.
How very Machiavellian of you😅

Can’t rule out Liverpool if Nunez is a dud again.

"I'll get shit for this but if he stays and doesn't renew with Spurs, I'd be all over getting him on a free. I'm sure Pep would be too.
And Txiki to stick the Vs up at Levy."
"Little old City having Kane break Shearer's record on the way to collecting a premier league trophy would well and truly break the league. I am all for it."
Imagine managing your brother's career so you never get a cut of a transfer fee.

Out of Kane leaving now or Kane staying and signing a new deal, I'd prefer the latter, though I think it's vanishingly unlikely.

I also think that it's quite ridiculous that our transfer window and pre-season prep has been dominated and to some extent derailed due to this saga, if Kane isn't actually sure about the move.

There's absolutely zero chance Bayern would have got this far without assurances from Kane and his camp that he wanted the move.

I totally appreciate it's a huge decision but it's not like that decision is just made tonight; it's something he'll have been thinking about and talking to Bayern about for weeks now, if not longer.

It's good that Levy has brought some new faces in regardless of outgoings. But the absolute last thing Postecoglou needed as a new manager, given the absolute fucking state of us at the end of last season, was this level of distraction.

A lot of that is on Levy for screwing up the football side of things for a few years. But some of it is on Kane, his camp and Bayern for the way they've handled this protracted situation.

There's also the part where Charlie/Kane asked levy to negotiate with Bayern for his sale- Levy did that, agreed a deal, club starts work on replacements/additional players and now Kane says maybe no. I can see why Levey/the club aren't happy and want some assurances.
