This would all be fine if it happened a week ago. We're now 1 day before the start of the season! Teams will no2 hold us to ransom knowing we have £100m in bank and need to make a signing. Unless all our ducks are aligned and signed, which I highly doubt. Our season will start very negatively. The stadium next week will be toxic!
We must surely have incomings lined up. The suggestion was that we needed to move on them soon so their selling clubs could themselves find replacements. Let's just hope project Kane moves quickly.

I think people are exaggerating about the first game though. Brentford just lost their keeper and they are more than beatable without Kane. Also our 2nd string just played better than any of our 2nd string for many years against Barca. Whatever happens I'm just looking forward to this new era and going to support the lads on Sunday. The window closure can't come soon enough.

It does vindicate Levy's decision to reject City two years ago that we are now getting more money than City's best offer for him when he is entering the final year of his contract at 30 years old!

This is the best possible out come if he was never going to sign a new deal , he fucks off to Germany out of sight out of mind essentially and maybe he returns someday ala Bale/Teddy .The alternative would be next season him signing for one of the Prem big boys and him scoring against us and breaking Shearers record tarnishing his time with us regardless of being one of our own etc. If this is going to happen in the next few days so be it we move on .

Mate, I was clutching. Just couldn’t really think of many examples.
OGS fee being agreed and announced on jumbo Tron was the other I had in mind.
Wasn't it @Trix who said Harry still has two contracts lined up in front of him and Levy wanted a response on these ASAP otherwise he'd be sold.

Maybe the answer has been given privately and we've accepted the terms of Bayern's proposal.

Why couldn't they just have paid up at the start?

I get it's a game of negotiation but we should of been clear and said this is the price, if you haven't paid up by 1st August its not happening

Instead Levy doesn't mention a price as he'd rather play the "game' with them in the hope to extract the maximum....

and puts that over avoiding disrupting our preparations for the season with a new manager.

Really is so clear where our true objectives lie
Because they are Bayern Munich. Kane joining them a month later or a couple games into the season doesn’t matter to them, they win the league regardless. They want Kane for a CL push and it was always in their best interest to drag it out as long as possible. They have a luxury of not needing to care that we just don’t have

That offer really was a total joke. Don't know what they were thinking.

Meanwhile, Liverpool bidding almost £100m for Caicedo without selling any of their best players, whilst we hang about waiting to spread ourselves thin and spend pennies on some young replacements for our best player this Century.

The difference between us and even the tightest of our top 6 rivals is clear.
We need to be honest with ourselves and realise that Spurs are not Liverpool or Utd - we simply don't have the same resources as they do.

why would it be toxic, fans should back their team no matter who is in the squad. Grow up people

I’m in Greece right now (bully for me) anyway a group of German lads are talking Tottenham and Kane not far from where I’m sat. Can’t understand anything else they’re saying but they seem animated.
Windmill in Tonio, take no prisoners.

just visualise one of the being Florian Fivehead
