My guess is that as per Update 32, the fee has been agreed for a while and Harry been deciding. Now he’s decided to go they’ve released the news to let spurs fan get used to it before announcement. If Kane hadn’t agreed to it, it would have stayed that BM never bid enough. It is a guess but I can’t see him saying no given it’s become this public now.

No Ornstein is genuinely the most reliable journo in the UK.
Has he ever missed?

I remember us all getting angry when he said Dybala has turned us down , he got so much stick but he was right.

His wording about sources in Germany is interesting though, it would suggest they aren't his normal ones.

Anything coming from "sources" in Germany I have no faith in what so ever especially concerning Kane. I put my trust in our wonderful ITK'ers to update us!
Whilst I agree with you re the info coming from Germany, the Atheltic in general are usually pretty good double checking their info. I’d be surprised if this wasn’t true.

I guess it seems it’s down to Kane to decide what he really wants.

This has been the most up and down transfer saga I can remember. If the fee reported is correct then we must be getting a huge portion of that up front and with very little dependent on add-ons.

And hopefully we’ve got some other deals lined up to soften the blows

meh. this was always the case as per the updates, they've fiddled about with the values and structure and probably finally got a version that's acceptable to the club. It's down to H, always has been.

My guess is that ange has done enough but hey ho, whatever.

Why is everyone surprised? Wasn't the ITK (WLB especially) alluding to the fact that a deal had been accepted by Spurs, but it's Harry that is leaning towards staying?

Ornstein has basically confirmed that, and it all now falls on Harry to officially accept or decline.
