Not sure why people think Spurs hold all the cards in this negotiation.
Yeah we hold little leverage here & what leverage we do hold would get blown out the window at any moment if Kane pushes for a move. And that’s what Bayern want so they dont have to come up on their price.

I dont see there as being any deadline here. It just doesnt make any sense for their to be. It is unreasonable to believe that if Bayern suddenly bid £120m at 5:59 on their deadline, that Levy would reject. He’d be clinically insane to reject that money for an asset he’ll lose for free in 12 months time. He’d 100% accept & use his remaining 5 hours to panic buy a replacement.

Massively flipping it round on Levy.

He supposedly declined that offer on Monday, why would he accept today?

Will he be bullied Bayern? I’ve got a feeling HK stays

It's very unlike the Germans to be arrogant.

Probably a silly question but have we had any indication of what the 'add-ons' are?

are they achieveable:
  • €10m extra for bundesliga title
  • €10m extra for 15+ goals

or are they unrealistic:
  • €10m extra for Ballon d'Or
  • €10m extra for CL win

They always seem like a crazy way to make the deal sound more impressive than it actually is

For a club of their size and stature in the game, Bayern Munich and everyone connected to them have behaved dreadfully. Like a spoilt child.

Yeah we're just going to roll over and sell our greatest ever player, one of our own and England Captain, for a derisory fee, to a club with huge financial power and no reason to underpay? Fuck off.

If you want Harry Kane, pay our actually quite reasonable fee and reap the benefits of having him.

Every German club seems to roll over and give them players for sod all.. Must skew their perspective somewhat. At least the big clubs here tend to get thoroughly rinsed by other teams in the league.

The club wouldn't have canceled today press conference if they didn't think this news would break today. I reckon he is gone and they just want to wrap up the Van de Ven and Veliz deals first.

I'm with Trix,50/50, the Mane money they received could be the deciding factor.

Media saying the decision is with Levy suggests to me they don't want to increase their offer further.

I think they need to bridge the supposed gap of 10-20m to make the deal happen. If they think Levy will budge if think they'll go home empty-handed.

Surely there would be SOOO much more noise for a deal of this magnitude if it was close.

Anyway at least we're a few hours away from this saga ending one way or another.

So Bayern are giving us until midnight to accept their offer?

That's how these reports are reading to me, no mention of an improved offer...

That's certainly how I'm reading them.

Source of the leak is clearly the Kane family so to me it actually reads like a put up or shut up to Bayern if anything.

Could be why that report came out the other day (Tuesday) about him willing to stay. He knows they aren’t going to bid high enough and was getting in there first. A hopeful guess from me!

This is a fascinating development. I’d imagine the club want the money for him, as opposed to no money, but the way I’m reading this would suggest that Levy would be accepting a previously rejected bid and this will give off a weakness from him that has never been exposed.

He’s the perfect patsy in this for both Kane and Bayern. They can both frame him as the bad guy and as the one being unreasonable. I doubt he’ll take that too badly!
