You're missing a lot there (not least of which gate receipts which are millions more for every home game).

Being in the CL has a big impact on a lot of our sponsorship deals too. We've heard recent stories about sponsors looking to pull our or renegotiate now we don't have CL football. The more years we're out, the worse it'll get. Straight back into the CL this season would make a big difference.
No I get that, but we didn't exactly challenge for UCL season gone even with Kane. I appreciate mitigating circumstances, but it is a risk to gamble on no Kane fee and no UCL. Not saying we shouldnt do it, just that it is a fincancial risk, but then, what is't I suppose (and I would rather gamble myself and keep Kane).

Honestly it's weird as have set myself up to be ready for him to leave. If he does stay the thought of him in this attacking team linking with Maddison is very exciting. I've got a feeling front 3 will actually be Son, Richarlison and Kane with Son and Richarlison often the more advanced of Kane. I think if we get on top and play in the opposition half there would be a lot of movement between them and opportunities to get into the box for each of them.

Hmmm. Kane staying but not signing a new contract is not a good outcome for me
Who said he wasn’t signing a new contract. All the noise in the last 24 hours is that he’s willing to talk if there’s improvement.

If Kane was to stay we'd need to hope he commits future to us asap because you just know the media, especially sky sports will be touting him out to united, Chelsea, city etc on a pre contract from the first day of the season, it will be relentless, the fuckin pricks.

Because so many people have decided Kane wants to leave, no matter what.
Even though it was said only yesterday that he's still open to a new contract.

And because some people can't take any enjoyment out of life and just look for the next dark cloud.
They're only happy when there's something to fret about, or something to be angry about.

I think someone said Danny Kelly has spoken about it.

To be honest until it was mentioned on here I didn't know it was a possibility. It's also important to remember that it's not guaranteed just yet, although from what you lot seem to say it's more or less a sure thing.

I actually said the other week that it would be so us to finish fifth and then the clubs in Europe to have a stinker this year and then us not get it while every other year the fifth placed team would do. I hate the word but it would be the definition of the much incorrectly used Spursy.

If he signs a new deal, the clubs social team will lose all respect if it’s not got something to do with brining a new shirt to a press conference..
