Right Brain won't function today but here are some points I've been told on this
  1. Kane and the FAM/Firm asked the club "Daniel" to sit down with Bayern
  2. Daniel Obliged after discussion as it would be in Tottenham's best interest right now as he won't sign a new deal unless significant progress is made during the season if he stays. He also wants the club to get what's deserved from his departure which softens the blow next summer if contract talks don't resume.
  3. 3 meetings have taken place
  4. Daniel has finally decided with the board what he sees' best for all parties regarding the FEE ££££ (upfront payment and Add On)
  5. Bayern Gulped and asked for time to consider if they can provide this package.
  6. They initially thought that a conclusion would be reached yesterday at lunch in London but the 2 parties were way apart.
  7. Daniel has given them until Friday. otherwise, the price will go up and without a suitable plan which the club is trying to activate if this happens, he will pull any deal with the season approaching and it is getting between preparation and further recruitment for Ange.
  8. Ange doesn't want Harry if he doesn't want Tottenham but this right now sits in between going or staying with Harry.
  9. Lastly If this was a relationship status on Facebook "It is Complicated"

This is annoying - as ever, Levy's ego will get in the way of doing the right thing.

I'm with Ange on this: "Ange doesn't want Harry if he doesn't want Tottenham"

The difference between 80m and 90m (or whatever it is) should be bridgeable. Sell him and re-invest in players that want to play for the club, will make us tougher to beat, who will fit the plan and who will have re-sale value.

It might not sound as sexy as having a world class striker, but it's time to get real about what's right the future of the club - we need long term plans, not an ego driven judgement about keeping a star.

At no point has anything been said of Kanes ego or attitude or not wanting to be here. Simply, that if club isn’t progressing, which we haven’t for 4 years, he’d look to move on. Therefore back the manager, show some ambition and let’s make him want to commit to stay

Cheers WLB. I’m a bit lost by point 7 though, could someone smarter than me help me with it. Is there no plan if they don’t pay by Friday in terms of him going?

Tuchel has said today that Bayern are looking at a quality defensive midfielder as well because the central midfielders they have are not defensively aware enough... it's not a top priority for them, but if the opportunity comes they will try... So Kane is not the only "big" deal he wants...

Well he's not going to come out and say he is. That would certainly give Levy the upper hand

They can take Hojbjerg instead!

Love the way that Bayern came swanning over, expecting to tie up a deal and then shat themselves when Levy told them what he wanted.
And if they don't move by Friday, that price is going up! 🤣

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of offensive ****s.

Think it's that after Friday the price goes up plus Bayern run the risk of us not being left with enough time to spend the cash so we could cancel it after Friday as well. That's how I read it

Interesting. Reckon if Bayern do get kane over the line there wont be too many big incomings there for a few transfer windows, money will be tight:LOL:

I don't fear that.

If Kane has no intention of signing a new deal - and whatever the press, I think it's unlikely he will - then we should be selling him, albeit obviously only at the right price. i.e. £90m+
Imagine selling kane and buy vdv and tapsoba but they turn up shit, then we have no kane to save the day and no money lol

Considering that Bayern still don't seem to have made a decent offer, this feels like yet another meeting that could have been an email.

What????

If anything Levy is acting exactly the way a club owner should. Worked with the player for a solution that works for both with the understanding that Bayern could walk away. He has to protect the clubs interests at the end of the day. Not buying the CBs we need is a separate issues which he should be brought to task over.

Is it just a base reaction to say Fuck Levy before typing anything???

That's a risk, yes. But it's also a risk of keeping Kane, him having an OK season and not really fitting in, stopping Richi getting in the side and creating an issue in of itself

Saying 'f*ck Levy' was certainly not my intention. I am just firmly in the 'If Kane doesn't want to be here, sell him and re-invest cmap'

But he won't stay. Honestly, of all the outcomes likely, us changing his mind over the course of the season is one of the least likely. In my opinion, that is.

Moreover, I think it was stunt Richi's ability to impact the side. Honestly, I want Harry sold. For the right fee, that is.

I just don't feel his heart's in it any more. And who can blame him? He's been at the club for years, and I just get the sense he's running slightly out of steam

I agree totally, Ange wants players with the right mentality today.

But it seems given what WLB has said that Levy is playing by set rules that Kanes camp are happy with.

Otherwise I agree with you mate.

Again, I'm not so sure he won't stay and the fact that he's still open to signing an extension seems to indicate that.

I said a while back that I think ideally he'd want to stay with us, it's just that Levy makes that hard with his seeming lack of ambition but, and it is a big but, if we do sign some decent players and the team play well, possibly go far in the cups, he may well be open to staying with us, rather than the upheaval of moving club/country with a young family.
