then we lose all leverage? GreatI wish Kane took the stance of publicly stating he wants to leave because of ENIC and Levy. What would they do?
Cue us finally agreeing a 100m fee with Bayern on deadline day and Harry refusing to leave
If we “push on” he’s gone next season regardless. I think it’s 2-3 times more likely he joins Poch next season on a free than there is him signing a new contract with us (Even if by some miracle we got top 4)This PR briefing from Kane’s camp is a masterclass.
Pretty much says either strengthen the team significantly so we can push on or sell me before the 13th. Do neither and I leave on a free.
Puts all of the pressure on Levy.
They have higher expenses though - bail money, legal fees, bribes, etc. for the board membersI know this view is shared by many but I find it fascinating.
Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Their 2022 revenue was about 25% higher than Spurs. They will be in CL for the foreseeable future.
They currently have net income of about €50m in transfers this summer. (100m in sales, 50m in purchases).
And yet people also assume Spurs can afford an additional £80m spend on top of the existing £100m+ already committed this summer.
I'm not so sure on that, Levy is a stubborn little bugger and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he thinks that he can convince Kane to stay.Levy would rather sell than let Kane walk
Which, as fans is surely good for us. TBF, I imagine that most fans would be dubious at Monsieur Levy doing what is needed to persuade Kane that the ambition is there to keep him beyond next summer but we live in hope. This PR briefing from Kane’s camp is a masterclass.

Don't rule out Barcelona who LOVE a free transfer. We also have no ideas what options will present themselves to Kane next summer if he stayed for the last season of his contract here. There could be a merry-go-round of top strikers...
I am speculating, however the general principle is Kane will have more attractive options next summer than just Bayern, so he may actively want to stay at Spurs for one more season.
- PSG - Mbappe is on his last year of contract too, and he is angling to stay the last season (PSG couldn't force him to accept the frankly ludicrous Saudi offer) and move on a free. Would they want Kane to come in as star striker?
- City - we know that they wanted Kane a couple years ago. Haaland filled that hole, however Haaland has spoken about wanting to go Real Madrid. City could sell him there for 150M+ and get Kane in for FREE.
- Real Madrid - have just lost Benzema and are now eyeing up Mbappe. I mentioned that Haaland could be a future possibility. If they don't get Mbappe, then Kane on a free will be attractive.
- United - strong PL option with realistic chances of winning silverware and keeps Kane in the hunt for PL record
- Bayern - if they can beat the rivals to Kane's signature they will want him again, this time with no Levy cockblocking the deal.
- Saudi $$$$$$$$$$
As it should be. Our greatest ever goalscorer is saying he won't force a move away and would consider staying, despite us on the cusp of yet another rebuild and Levy is still unwilling to do the basics. This PR briefing from Kane’s camp is a masterclass.

I'd got it in my head Harry wanted out (as i posted a few hours ago) and when i read the headline from that piece, i read it like you have - that Kane was actually putting pressure on Levy to sell, otherwise he'd be off for free in 12 months...... but maybe you didn't click the article and read it fully ? as the last two paragraphs (if taken as part of a briefing from Kane camp and not just the journos opinion) then it's actually a positive for us , and his head isn't elsewhere (as i had wrongly suggested) and there is still some hope ?This is Kane doing what Bayern wanted, no? They need him to turn up the pressure on Spurs. As far as I can see, him setting a deadline pressures the club to accept the paltry offer from Bayern or risk losing him on a free.
He might not be openly saying he wants to leave, but imo this is snake like behaviour. He’s not doing this out of respect for the club, his teammates or the fans.

You wouldn’t care if he ended up at Arsenal or Chelsea for free? I find that hard to believe but each to their own.
