Step 1. Kane's team begins discussing personal terms with a number of clubs. They don't care, nor should they, what Bayern/PSG/RM might offer Spurs. Those personal terms give him a glimpse into what else is out there.

Step 2. Let Spurs make their counter offer.

Step 3. Sit down with all options on the table. Spurs, 400k/wk, club legend, PL/English club goal scoring record. Maybe Bayern/PSG/RM are offering 600k/wk, league title, shot at the CL, broader marketing potential. Only he can weigh all the factors.

All too often players are quick to sign new contracts and their future earning potential is effected by transfer fees. No one wants to pay Zaha (who always seems to sign a new 5-year deal) 400k/wk ON TOP of a 100m transfer fee. Good for Kane on taking control of his destiny.
No chance Bayern offer 600k a week

I was wondering about this ‘creative offer’ we could provide.
Possibly similar to what Bayern do, by retaining ‘big’ players post retirement to maintain the identity of the club, which does seem important to Kane.
I’m likely clutching at straws here, hoping we somehow convince our generational talent to stick around a bit longer!

Surely the "creative offer" can only mean one thing. If he signs the new contract we will officially rename the club the Harry Kane team....

Bild.de main website headline (not even sports section)

"Secret meeting in London between the bosses of both clubs....There has been no breakthrough yet, but Bayern remain optimistic a deal would happen this summer"

Isn’t Bild just the german version of The Sun?
I have lived in Germany for couple of years...
My feel is, Bild is a tabloid but nowhere close to being as bad as Sun.

They do the politcal scoops & celebrity scoops. But they dont bullshit like Sun

He’s our record all time scorer surely if he resigns or not we will offer him the world when he retires.

I don’t think anything like that will make a joy of difference to his decision right now.

Conspiracy theory: the VDV announcement has been held back so they have some positive news to try and soften the blow of Kane leaving.
