Levy isn't going to want to lose 100 mil.

Of course not. Not sure there are too many takers at 100m though, as he is available for free next summer.
I expect the vultures to be circling towards the end of the summer trying to cut a deal.
Question is then, how much is one more season of Kane worth to Levy? 50-60m? Answers on a postcard…

To me, 1 more year of Kane is more important than any amount of money that's being banded about. Guaranteed 20+ goals a season, maybe more in Ange's formation/tactics.

Even if we did get 100M, I can't see us getting anywhere near the calibre of player, or combination of players. And we have money anyway, it's not like we are skint.

We need to trim the squad and add quality at the back, whatever happens at the end of next season happens, if he sees the potential and extends for 2 years great, if he moves next year so be it.

Agreed. Whether it's one last year helping oversee the rebuild and the new era or he signs on and stays forever (oh God yes please) he'll forever be a legend of the club for what he's done. If he does leave next year it'll be on the back of ten (10!) straight years of 20+ goals a season.

I will legit cry if anytime in the next 9 months he signs an extension.

With all the Real links, I think one of the things that has to be considered/remembered is that the rumours was always that it was Bellingham this year and Mbappe (or Haaland if possible) next year. So whilst Kane is a 'perfect' replacement for them, I don't know how it fits into their overall strategy and could be similar to Man City where they wait a year and then get their new shiny toy next year who will properly be their future.

I'm not holding my breathe for Kane to stay this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Especially as it seems like it's the media and pundits pushing this narrative atm based off of what they think a football career should be and not anything Kane has said or done.

I do ofcource want him to stay, but what if he gets a bad injury? Like the injury Bentancur got. He will be away for 6 months.
So i would say that if he stays fit we keep him but if he gets injured we sell!
So Levy better call a fortune teller first thing in the morning

By all accounts this journalist is Madrid's version of Ally Gold. Article states that they won't go above 100m euros for Kane which is roughly £85m.

If this is true, Kane is a goner.
100m€ is a serious serious offer ,if this is Real Madrid said limit. There's no way, Levy saying no to 100m€

Unless Madrid coming in with a silly bid of 100m+
It’s simply not worth us selling him. If shoots us back into the champions league that is potentially worth near 100m itself.

We know his performance levels won’t drop so there really isn’t much of a decision to make.

We had him this year and finished 8th.

New manager, new style, needs time to adapt - we are far from guaranteed a top-5 finish with Kane.

So, that is the £100M question for Levy - take the guaranteed pay-out, or gamble on a future similar, but non-guaranteed, payout.

I just don’t see how you can give up £100m for 1 season

If he signs, defo don’t take it.

If they slap £100m on the table or he goes for nothing next year, I am sorry, no matter how much we will miss him you cannot turn that down. Especially when it’s going to effectively be a transition season.

People do know we are allowed to actually replace him with another football player

But were Real expecting Benzema to jump ship now?

Agree, players move on at every club, get replaced and the club carries on. It’s not the selling of Kane, it’s how we reinvest the money, if we get Laporte, Maddison and a good young CF then I’d take it..

Indeed. If we were expecting to be fighting for the title, it would be different, but in our current situation we should sell if we get a good offer (from abroad, at least).

It really isn't. Being in the CL and getting out of the group stage would net us somewhere between 30-40m. The only way it's worth it is if we win the comp, and if/when Kane leaves in 2024 that's highly unlikely if we even get to CL in the first place.

No matter how much I love him, I think we have a higher chance of long-term success if we sell him this summer for 80m+ - unless we get him to extend his contract, of course. If he hasn't signed a new contract by July 1st we're in for one hell of a gamble IMO.

Selling him only weakens us (initially) and we're currently mid table. We're only getting (any) success with new owners imo.
