There is no way we would be as bad off without him as some of you make out

Look at the time he was out in the CL final season, everyone else stepped up.

He is part of the rotten culture at the club (not his fault at all by the way)

Everyone clearly just relies on him too much. Including the fans. We are much more “The Harry Kane Team” these days than when Pep said it. It’s him and 10 others and this is a team game. I repeat, it’s not his fault at all, but he is lorded too much here, right through the club (because he’s fucking brilliant)

We need a big hard reset
Not sure that’s the case. They stepped up for about 3 or 4 CL games. We were shite in the league.

I think we’d cope without Kane but we’d be much, much better if he remained and played with better, fresher, younger players in a different, attacking system.

Yes we would have played a different way without him, an utterly shit way.

This guy has been a No10 and a No9 for us for the best part of 5 years. Who the hell would have stepped up and replaced those goals and assists this season?
Agree but we did make the CL final without him ;)

You still can't just take his goals out as if we wouldn't score any others. He would be a massive loss but it's silly to subtract his goals. We would just be playing a different way. Who knows how Richarlison would do as 1st choice for example. Maybe Son plays up top and has a better season for it. We wouldn't be down the bottom under Conte.
I think there's some wishful thinking about this. A replacement of the Soldado/ Janssen ilk won't score 5 goals a season and quite frankly Richarlson looks incapable of scoring more than a handful. Not to mention Kane's goal assist contributions. I think we'd be in deep trouble without him.

Well it's not wishful thinking when I said nobody knows how we would be doing without him

With the bunch of traffic cones he calls team mates it probably would have been. Richarlison can't score in a brothel and son can't even run past a defender with a 10 yard headstart.

I don't think there's another striker in the league including haaland that scores that goal today.
Whisper it but Haaland is at the moment a pretty one dimentional player. Its an amazing dimention but Kane is the better player by far

Think he will see out his last season then go Chelsea on a free and win the league with Pochettino.

I've had an odd feeling he'll end up at Chelsea for a while now; I don't know why it just feels a bit like Greaves in reverse

And that is why it’s best to cash in and build this summer. You would hope next summer our new manager will have a grip on his team with only a few players in.

Disagree, given how Harry's goals are arguably why we're not going into the leeds game needing to get a result just to stay in the league, it's worth far more keeping him for one more season and seeing what the lay of the land is next season and maybe have something to convince him to re-sign; than be utterly awful again and have sold our best player and sold off most of our goals.

Whatever number we may be able to get as a fee is fuck all if we drop out the league! We've been leaking an average of two goals a game for years now we've been just lucky our offence had been capable of putting in three a game until Son's gone for Burton this season as has Kulu and it's rested on one man; that scares the crap out of me headed into next season without him!

He owes us nothing; as far as I'm concerned he's earned the right to go on a free where ever he likes. Sure I'd hope he'd be thoughtful enough not to head up the road but if he does then sod it we've no one else to blame but ourselves (or the bald bloke upstairs)

He's going to score against us if it's for any of the clubs up north or either club up the road; quite honestly it doesn't matter what colour shirt he's wearing at that stage.
And he's not going to a European club this summer so you can get rid of that romantic notion.

As a club/fanbase far too many over concern themselves with everyone else, if we put half the effort back into our own team (if the new bloke in charge gives us something to cheer about anyway!)

Can't believe there are people wanting to sell Harry Kane because we need the transfer fee to rebuild

Keep him and get the penny pinching idiot to find the money elsewhere

He’s going to leave and the only thing to like about this football club in its current state will be gone.

Fucking depressing.

Don’t think we can afford to let Kane leave this summer.

He will leave on a free transfer in 2024 but hopefully in his last year helps us get European football.

We cant let him leave but when he does it might make some of the other cowards step up in the team and out of his shadow and actually try and contribute.

Agreed. I think there’s truth to the argument that a lot of the players expect him to win the games on his own.

No one want to sell Kane, unless they are so deep into the anti ENIC hole that they want them to hurt more than the club to get things right or if they are at a point where they put Kane above the club. Everyone want him on a new 5 years contract.
If he's not signing that however, there's a decision to be made.
Levy isn't going to find money in the owners pocket, we will spend what we make as always. And if Kane is leaving anyway within a year, a year that will be used to rebuild, then 100m to spend would be very beneficial. Top 4 will be difficult next season, no guarantees that Kane staying for only one year takes us there. And if we sit back with no Kane nor 100m in one year well then it's not a good situation, bad decision making. Of course it could be worth the gamble, but don't come crying about Levy in hindsight.

I don’t disagree but worth remembering from next year it’s top 5 that get Champions League. Might make the gamble on keeping Kane to secure CL footy more appealing.
