I'd add a third point. If point A is met will buying club be prepared to pay 100m plus which is what it will take
I imagine United would probably pay whatever it takes to get a proven number 9 if that's their main focus in the summer, but yeah they'd have to be willing to shell out at least 90-100m to appease Levy I'd expect.

I just think he won't sell at any price and put public pressure on kane to sign a new deal. Levy don't want that heat

Yeah that's defo a distinct possibility, but I think if the offer's big, Kane's pushing for it and the new manager wants some cash to rebuild then it could happen.

I think losing Kane would hurt Levy but if he's definitely not signing on then I think our most valuable asset for a free would also be very difficult for him to entertain.

This is what my money is on.

Turn around the team performance and hope it’s enough to make him commit further.
Really hope we dont go down this route as i'd fear an eriksen style cruise to the finish line.

When top players (i say top, as they arent in "i need to prove i'm good" mode) are running down the last 6-9 months of a contract there is so much incentive to avoid serious injury above everything else.

Yea but I don't think kane will push for it. I genuinely think he hated how he was perceived when he wanted the city move

1. I don't see Harry leaving the PL. He would want to break the Shearer record.
2. I would be surprised to see someone offer what we would want that would allow him to leave. Even with only a year left.
3. I wouldn't begrudge him his move at all, if and when it does happen.

Its another big night for Harry. Apart from the no trophies some still (rightly or wrongly) question his performance in big games and this is certainly our biggest this season

He can only affect team trophies to a point but he certainly has more control over his own performance is massive games such as tonight
I do agree. I want him to have his big moment. Lennon at the San Siro, Crouch at the Etihad, Bale vs Inter Home and Away, Son vs Man City in the CL, Moura vs Ajax.

You honestly saying Kane hasn’t had any ‘big’ moments???

Jesus Christ

Numerous goals against Arsenal
City away last season
Against Chelsea
He battered Dortmund at home a few years ago

I could go on….

I hate the narrative Kane doesn’t turn up in big games, because 9 times out of 10 he does.

The disrespect other fans give Kane is embarrassing but our own fans doing it blows my mind.

He does well in London derbys but that seems his level. In the biggest games ie cup semi's or finals or even the top of the table clash with Leicester that year etc he's seems to have his quieter games or misses chances. This is for England too missing pens etc.

It's not a disrespect, he's clearly been amazing and Mr reliable week in week out hence the records and numbers. Just some fans observations. Some players, mentally, just have something special where the bigger the game the bigger the performance. Bale was like this. VDV. Gerrard at Liverpool.
It's an elite small group of truly special players and Harry doesn't seem to be made that way. He has however been amazing and worked incredibly hard to have the outstanding career he's had and break all the records he will. As I say just an opinion some share.

It's gonna come down to 2 things this summer:

a) is Levy willing to sell to a direct rival?

and if the answer to that is 'yes'

b) would United prefer/be able to get Osimhen instead?

If United get Osimhen I think Kane very likely stays and winds down his contract. If not, I fully expect United to throw mountains of cash at us to get him so it will come down to Levy.

If Kane wants to stay in the Premier League and Levy wants to cash in this summer then both of them would have to consider United. If you rule out Arsenal and Chelsea due to local rivalry there aren't many other options left. I can see Newcastle making a bid for him, but I doubt he'd go there this summer.

There's also a big difference having 3 years left vs only 1 left. It's only 1 more season and half a season to agree a move either someone on a free. No need to agitate for a move.

It wasn't an attempt to downplay Kane's achievements. Knockout football is remembered differently though. Our biggest moments in the recent years were the CL run to the final and he wasn't involved, I personally want him to have a moment like that and I think it would lift him up a level in the eyes of rival fans.

How do you carry on selling Tottenham Hotspur as the place to be for the greatest centre forward in Premier league history ?
