How are we back to selling our best players to Man Utd again? Everything has gone full circle but Man U don’t even have Fergie or even win leagues anymore. This must be a wind up written my a Man U fan.

Hindsight is 20/20, but with everything that happened after the CL final it seems that the smartest thing for everybody was to sell Kane in 2019.

Surely not the smartest for Spurs. He's been by far our best player since the CL final. Prior to that as well for that matter...

Let’s wait and see. We’ve heard this before and there’s still half a season to go. Don’t start crying just yet, Trix said earlier this week he wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay.

The only way i see him staying is a perfect storm and that is us finishing top four (a great second half of the season with a feel good factor), Man United dropping out of it and Conte staying with a lot of guarantees of signings (which go hand in hand with Conte staying).

Pre Conte, Kane wasn't signing a contract until he see's that we're ambitious, enter Conte... then it's he won't sign until he knows we're getting CL for next season, which we went on to get... Kane won't sign a contract because, because...

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him for wanting to win trophies, but it feels like he has/had no intention of signing as he keeps moving the goal posts. If we still can't agree by the end of the season, then sell him to the highest bidder. Thanks for your service.

I know this isn't the point of your post but he'll want to go where he can be confident of winning trophies and that ain't Chelsea at the moment nor is it Man Utd for that matter.
It's why I think Bayern would be such a draw for him.
He'll have Greavsies record by the end of the month, he'll be eyeing Shearer's record then. Can't see him going out "foreign" till that happens.

Swap for Rashford or Alvarez?

Either way, Kane will be making the decision where to go, not us. With one year left he'll be holding pretty much all the cards.

I've come to terms with it already tbf, as I had at the start of last season. Fantastic striker but wields too much power at Spurs. Half fit he starts. Plays every game whether it's a good idea or not (fitness wise). Takes pretty much all free kicks. within range (there is no range).

Yes, we wasted him. F***ed about playing silly beggers half arseing squad balance/investment/forward planning of managers while Harry, Son & Hugo got older.

DL is a fantastic businessman where real estate developments are concerned. Unfortunately, we're a football team with fans.

MP was talking publicly about the "painful rebuild" long and ever before the CL final. I'm quite sure he was talking privately about it before that. I think he deserved to be backed at that point and that may have been our "sliding doors" moment. Despite all he had delivered in respect of league position, CL qualification and engagement with supporters he wasn't backed in the way he should have been.

Yes, it turned to shite, and long before the CL final, long before he was making statements about leaving if we won the Champions League.

I'll always be proud to be Spurs but I've never been as proud as I was when MP was terrorizing the league in my 40 odd years of supporting.

It was a golden time and it seemed the planets were aligning but the steps we needed weren't taken.

In my opinion, we had the best team in the land for over two seasons but we didn't have the luck, or perhaps the depth, or maybe the investment to get the holy grail.

So, we go again.

Most likely at the end of this season we'll be trying to do it without Hugo, Harry and Heung Min.

The king is "dead". LONG LIVE THE KING.

As long as there's breath in my body, I'll be here anyway.

Might as well sell Son, too. Richy and Deki are a good platform to build around. Can replace Kane with Chris Wood and maybe see if Aaron Lennon wants to give it another go. Jobs done!

Kane is rated by the club. He is the main reason we didn't go fully in for Wickham in the summer.

I reckon the club knows more than the average punter, or at least I'd hope so...
Imagine the club didn’t rate Kane where would we be now without Kanes goals and assists

You got the feeling this Conte project was our last chance with Kane. Getting top 4 should have been the platform to show we were serious about getting back amongst the best but we’ve instead left the squad woefully short of quality and depth. Seeing him shake his head last night as we capitulated was so telling. He’s 29 and he’s seen it so many times. To be honest I would lose some respect for him if he wanted to stay at a side that are clearly well below his level.

For Spurs, this should be seen as a chance to change direction too. Getting £100m for me is not going to fund a rebuild. Let’s be honest it buys 2 good players these days. However it will allow us to change the dynamic of our front play. Nobody we get will be a better overall player than Kane but it doesn’t mean we can’t get someone exciting who offers us a new way of playing. Sometimes a player is so good it makes those around him lazy and I definitely see signs that through our lack of creativity overall we have a team too willing to give it to Kane and hope he comes up with something. If he did go it would be horrible but it certainly doesn’t have to mean terminal decline.

Yep Conte revitalised Kane for us.

All we had to do was get some decent players in, which we can afford now.

World class centre forwards like him are very tough to come by and we really should have been building team around him to match.

I just cannot fathom what goes on in levy’s head as would actually be easier to be successful with our set up then the complete cluster fuck we often are on playing side.

World class forwards scoring the amount of goals he does are almost impossible to find for us. We had a golden opportunity, unfortunately we also has a turd chairman.

Have I missed something? A twitter post about Man Utd wanting Kane in the summer? Fucking shock horror!!! You lot are acting like we've accepted a bid this transfer window.

Fannies.
