Wowee what a strange thing to come out with.
I said all along Kane would not want to play tonight, it’s one game too many. Like it or not he’s thinking about the World Cup so he was never going to be committed tonight.

Didn’t watch tonight so don’t think this is reactionary - but do we cash in in January/next summer given his contract runs out summer 2024? Feels like we’re no closer to winning anything since summer 2021 and the Man City saga. Wasn’t that his main gripe?

I’m having nightmares of City cashing in on Haaland and taking Kane on a free.

Trying to get England to rest him a bit in training etc is my bet

He's played every single game. That's about 17 in 9 weeks. And another this weekend.

Haaland is getting a rest.
Jesus has had a rest.

Cut him some slack.

It's ridiculous no manager rests him. It's not like we're invincible with him in the team. Totally running him into the ground and it's been done his whole career. He's either going to pick-up an injury, or play within himself for fear of an injury. Both are counter-productive. I don't get it.

No wonder the lad is absolutely shagged he plays 90mins multiple times a week, week in week out. I have genuine concerns that he is gonna' pull up hurt at the WC. Come back home with a 2–3-month injury.

But I do believe if richarlison was fit he would have started ahead of kane and maybe 1 or 2 other games to

Pretty sure after this match he played the most minutes of any outfield players in Premier League

Annoying as would have been ideal for Richarlison to cover up top last night.

We have been unlucky with our forward options, as Kulusevski has been injured most of season too.

We really needed to have got in at least one more attacking player over summer (I mean in January!) to allow proper rotation (if Conte actually then does that).

Moura is such a drop in quality i wouldn’t really want to rotate him in unless desperate, although could have played him last night over Kane tbh.

We need to sign at least 1 striker in Jan, it can't continue as just Kane week in week out and I don't buy that Richarlison is a striker, he can cover there a bit but he's not an out and out goalscorer, we really need to address this like we've needed to for years.

Moura wasn't in the squad so I guess he wasn't fit enough still. It reminds me a little of when we had Son and Kane out together under Jose in 2020 after we sold Eriksen. The lockdown came at a good time as I'm sure the world cup will this time. Hopefully we have better luck in the 2nd half of the season but another forward would help.

Bring in Ivan Toney in Jan. Proper replacement striker for when H inevitably breaks down during/after the WC
