Would he have come on, in a game like that, is there was £150m riding on him? I don’t think so.

That’s him here for another year

Laporte and Silva started for City yesterday - means nothing.

Until City stump up the cash he's our player and will continue to play.

Was surprised to see such a positive reception for him. Didn’t think he’d be booed, but wasn’t expecting his song to get an outing. He did well though, and unlucky not to score.
It was the correct decision. The crowd needed a lift. A bit of fight. Bringing our own negative energy at that point could have cost us the game. Also, support in the ground and the general social media backlash/‘how the media portray things’ are two very separate things. He came on, he did well, wore the shirt and was handsomely paid. Fuck anyone who has a problem with that. And there will be a few.

Yeah, I think you’re right there. Was actually a nice moment when he came on. He’s easily our best player, and our best chance of success this season. I get why people are angry with him, but if he’s staying everyone needs to build a bridge and get over it.

He put himself about defensively much more than he has the last few seasons. He lacked a little sharpness but was a calming influence and could've had a goal or two.

He wanted to win that game, that at least was clear to anyone watching.

Well yeah, despite his recent behaviour 7 years of contrary evidence tells us he is a competitor and a professional. Nobody ever doubted that, right? We aren't dealing with Adebayor or even Berbatov here.

We are clearly a much better football team with this man on the pitch. I'm confident he will start next week v Watford.

Loads of people been saying if he doesn't want to be here he won't give his all.

Great to hear the fans chanting 'he's one of our own'.
A nice reminder that the majority of fans aren't as mental as the ones in here!

To be honest, principles on football don’t get you anywhere on the whole (aside from principle of keeping him).

He’s acted like a muppet but he is world class and if he gets the numbers on the pitch who cares if we have to swallow our pride a bit and polish his ego.

I’m just really hoping we do get a couple of players in this week to strengthen squad and maybe we can get some success if we keep him.

I'll guess.....

"He's coming that's why he missed that chance on purpose, a happy Kane rainbow flicks that over the keeper into the top corner."

Or....

"We could have got him for £50mil if we wanted, but we purposely have Grealish the 10 shirt to test Kane's reaction. He failed, We are City and what we want we get. We didn't want him though"
