BM:

Update (this is the word for word text):

“They are fuming lad, reckon he will lose millions not being number 10. Yesterday was spent trying to address it.

The kid must be getting sick of fucking gentleman’s agreements!”

The person who sent me this is a long time member of this site, they don’t contribute very much these days, but they are cool with me posting this.

I'd be pissed off, too. Neither brother can count past ten so it must all be very confusing.

I've noticed SpursOfficial Twitter account hasn't promoted Harry Kane in any photos recently, seems like it's heading in the same path as Gareth Bale, we know how that turned out.

The only thing he has been involved in since the close of last season was the new home kit promo.

I'd like to think they are keeping it out the spotlight to reduce the hounding fans and media in regards to him coming or going.

Whilst covering their arses if City do come in with a huge bid

Genuinely no, I don't think so. Levy has previous for selling on deadline day. I have no doubt we will sell Kane on deadline day if the money is right, even if it leaves us short. I wish that wasn't the case and hope I'm wrong.

I suspect that this time is different and that the deadline is real for multiple reasons. First, in the past, we were an up and coming team and not one on the downslide. The practice field and stadiums are finished and the next step in the project is consistently making it into the CL. Leaving it until the end with players taking even more time to fit into Nuno's systems may be a bridge too far.

Second, having a bonafide DOF will act as a counterbalance to his previous natural tendencies. Third, DL and JL knows the financial value of being one of the big clubs as evidenced by the ESL. At some point, the club has to start acting like a big club and taking a firm stand is an announcement to the world that it isn't business as usual. Please note that if the deadline is today, i could see him being sold today. But much of the info would point to the club taking a stand and having stuck to it throughout this whole affair.

Please also know that the emotional side of me is skeptical as to what i'm writing at the moment given the past. However, the rational side sees a pattern though that suggests that the culture of the club has changed over the year and the expectations today are different than they were when we sold Berba

Thing is, if City are even slightly prepared to smack in a bid of £150 mill on deadline day, why are they waiting for deadline day? Do it now? If they think Levy is going to bend for less before deadline day then they really HAVE NOT been paying attention. If they are in discussions with Levy now, it means they are already prepared to pay near the £150 mill mark, or wherever Levy has told them it will take to enter into discussions. /shrug
They have been paying attention.
Once they slap £160m on the table, they know negotiations start with levy. He'll add on everything he can think of, like refunds on shirts, changing the names on the lockers, to the cost of the phone call to ring them back. The list will be endless. And the deal will still take until deadline day.

Instead they'll make their offer at the death, so there is no time for negotiations. Take it or leave it. And if it is a fair offer, I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Lewis stepped in and OKed it.

If Pep didn't ring Kane after his presser to say "I had to say that but don't worry", Kane will be in bits.

Just he'd be more than happy if window closed today and he went into season with what he currently he has.

More that comes out they doing one of two things

Trying to put pressure on by pretending they are moving on/had enough
They genuinely are giving up

Although that still doesn't help anyone have a fucking clue whats going on

If Harry stays here this window, I hope we put out a scathing statement on City's conduct to unsettle Kane and our team and that we are lodging a complain to the FA. Enough of this horseshit

Yep this is a huge issue for us and City know it.

They can offer 150 million on deadline day, we will accept it for sure, and then be left holding our dicks with incomings. Concerning.
I think this is what will probably happen. Anyone who thinks that Levy won't hold back the sale of Kane till the last minute to get the best price, even if we means we are strikerless till January, hasn't been paying attention.
