I'm now at the point where I think just take the highest offer available by the end of the week.

Even if that's 127m so be it - At the end of the day we've had a fair few years of Harry Kane and won the square root of f*ck all. He'll go to Man City, who'll probably win the league anyway with or without him so really what are we losing by selling him from 130m ish?

We're likely to end up in a similar position with or without him, they're in a similar position and we've got rid of a negative influence in the team and have a 130m that will enable us to move on to our targets.

Basically I'm bored of listening to him and it seems like anything 130m+ in this depressed market would enable us to get at least a couple of decent players in who do want to play for us.

So glad you’re not in charge of the negotiations.

If City were truly desperate, they wouldn't be pissing about with low-ball bids and playing chicken with the transfer deadline. They have the means to have tied this up at any point over the last few months. The fact that they haven't suggests that they aren't as desperate for the move to happen as Harry clearly is.

Absolutely agree

The Kane’s approached City and have tried to sell Harry to them. Not the other way round.

He has clearly “chosen” them because that’s the best chance of him winning something.

Wow, what a hero, what a great player and sporting icon… choosing the easiest route to get something. Prickazoid

Think it’s going to be a very different season with fans and the fact Chelsea and United have significantly strengthened. I think they won the league last season Because they are used to playing in a library.

Last season should really be declared null and void. Sunday showed what the PL is all about - it's about fans and passion. Last season was a series of half-hearted exhibition/training games. For every team that benefitted West Ham (who had freedom away from their toxic fans), Man City (whose fans don't influence their performances), there were teams that suffered - possibly most notably Sheffield United.

So i agree, i think last season is not a decent barometer of relative strengths of teams.

Why are Spurs being portrayed as the bad guys here? It's City who are the problem. Pap G does an interview openly stating we want Kane deliberately disrupting the player and Spurs. Its all wrong.

All we are asking is for the player to honour his contract, alternatively the buying club to pay to an agreed fee and he can F$£k off!

I hate these clubs that have come into money, they forget where they were prior to this. The ignorance is immense & nobody likes you! I like it that DL is digging his heels in and for once, maybe they can't have what money can buy!

I want him gone, £140m + some add ons. Way too many bridges have been burnt and I don't think he's willing to sign a new contract to repair them.

If we could do something like: Sarr (£40m), Vlahovic (£60m), Bissouma (£30m) and Milenkovic (£13m)

I'm pretty sure we'll be a stronger team as a result.

Then what happens if he gets injured and can't fulfil his loan obligations?

Not really sure what clauses loan deals have, but assumed they'd have something around this, as Mbappe moved for more money on a similiar deal?

Arguably the same if he crocked for us, if we kept him?

It's a PR firm, it's not the agency dealing with his moves.

It's someone to improve his public image.

Not sure I'd pay the first bill they give you H.

Sounds like H wouldn't be able to successfully hire a DVD from Blockbuster (back in the day), let alone an adviser that would actually help him.

So glad you’re not in charge of the negotiations.

I honestly don't get this sad faux masculinity 'we have to win the negotiations' thing. I want what's best for the club right now, right this second for us to move forward and do as well as possible once the negotiations are complete. In fact from the earlier ITK I'm basically agreeing with Nuno and Paratici who seem to want it done so we can move on.

If anyone thinks that a) keeping Kane and watching him play like he did at the end of last season whilst listening to constant speculation about when he's going to leave or b) getting 150m right at the last minute of the transfer window and not being able to sign adequate replacements are better solutions for our club at the moment then I think they're probably more worried about the appearance of winning rather than actually whats good for the club.

A couple of weeks ago his brother was bleeting at his wedding about how a deal was done at $160m.......which immediately got batted back by Spurs........now he's surprised and thinks we should accept an offer of $125m?

If he put in a transfer request and gave up his 10% loyalty bonus, then that would make up quite a bit of that gap!

Oh, and why have the media started talking about him being "29 at his next birthday"? He's only just turned 28 a week or so back.......maybe we should start referring to him as "27 a few weeks ago"

How I see it, it’s all on the numpty bros

They have told City £100m would get him
City have thought, we’ll have a bit of that
Speak with Levy, Levy laughs. More like £200m
Kane’s constantly going back to City with new made up figures, which Levy has now got the hump with

If City thought they were going to have to stump up £175m right at the start, they wouldn’t have pursued this.

Kane has played both City and Spurs to a terrible effect.

I don’t actually blame City, I think they might be half saving face
I'm starting to think similar, and City are just low balling because they were promised it would only be a low transfer fee, and were only interested if that were the case, now they are just going through the motions and will say 'Well we tried, Levy was having none of it'

Harry's new PR firm have been left up shit's creek by Charlie and his buffoonery. Now they have two options:
  1. Return quietly to the club and pretend nothing's going on and essentially look like Levy's won and maybe lose your move
  2. Double down on the public statements and throwing toys out the pram and maybe get the move you want.
He should have hired some actual professionals a year ago when he knew he wanted to go and he could have got his wish with his reputation intact. But now the only way I see him going, like he clearly wants, is this getting more public and more ugly.

Really weird take.

I was just glad that someone who thinks we should accept less than what we want “because they are bored of the situation.” Isn’t in charge. We all know Levy will extract the maximum amount out of City, I doubt he’d ever change his valuation based on how sick of hearing about the transfer he was, he’s a businessman, not a drama queen.

What you want to happen is a really poor way of going about negotiations.

Are Man City the only club interesting in signing Kane, or is Man City the only club Kane wants to join ?

If both true that would explain why Man City think they'll get him on the cheap as their is no competition for him.
It's City only for Kane, hence the play with DeBruyne stuff in the Neville interview.

Are they really? Even with no strikers they won the league by 12 points.
True, but the league is much stronger this year.

Utd have signed 2 world class players, Chelsea have a top class manager, Lukaku, and have bedded in last year's signings, while Liverpool have a fit VVD and a new CB. Winning the league this year is a completely different proposition compared to last year.

If City don't sign Kane, or at least some kind of striker, they could really struggle to win the title (or perhaps even anything) this season.

City are the winners here, admittedly it could cost them

But at best the get a player they desperately need

At worst they have pretty much ensured that Spurs no longer have Harry Kane as they did, he will never be the same even if he does play.
