I think the fans will get behind him when he plays. He will no longer be thought of in the same way though. I think this latest stunt is different though if I'm honest. This one is trying to repair his reputation, rather than to force a move. I have to say it's yet another moronic move by the Kane's though. Attempting to throw Levy under the bus is far from a smart move.
I want to say it's desperation that has brought Kane to this point, but you could track his questionable decisions back to the Neville interview... Shocking from a PR perspective and a complete misunderstanding of how social media works.

I heard the chants on tv. However I think it will all blow over if he’s still with the club on the 1st September and he goes back to being a professional. He wanted out last summer aswell so nothing has changed.
But my gut and head is still telling me he’s gone this summer. Too much dejavu from when Modric and bale left. Will see!
It’s not just the chants that were heard on tv though - it’s the chants you didn’t hear, because they weren’t happening. It’s the conversations in the bars, on the walk up and down the high street, it’s the people asking in the club shop to exchange their Kane shirt for one with another name… the whole vibe was one of ‘fuck him’.
His fall from grace has been breathtakingly spectacular, and even if he stays, he’ll never be ‘one of our own’ again - because we’ll never trust him again.

Don’t fall into the media manipulation trap. Charlie and Harry want you to “drive him out” of the club. Creating pressure from the fans on Levy to sell is exactly why they fed the story to the media.

I thought his not congratulating the team after the victory said it all. I mean, how difficult is it to pop a 'well done lads' onto Instagram? Smacked of sulking to me, and sending out a message that he's got nothing to do with the team anymore.

To be fair, would that be worth the shit storm of social media trolls that is guarantueed today?
I think that is fine if he congratulated them in private.

Desperate or not..... What he's said here won't get him out any quicker or any cheaper. At the end of the day most football fans already have their minds made up about Levy, don't see how this changes anything other than make The Kane's look even more amateurish.

And yet we see articles on Sanchez response from football.london telling us how professional Kane is and how supportive the players will be to him. Doing damage at one end by the dumb brothers while the club trying so hard to repair at the other end.

Even if he wanted to, I doubt whether he would. He's made a rod for his own back and he knows the backlash from Spurs fans, after making any comment, would be brutal. He set a trap for himself on social media and he's stepped right into it.

Such appalling judgement by himself and his team. Quite staggering actually.

I admire him as a footballer, which is a far cry from my view of him a few months ago.

My angst in all of this, no matter the money or who is buying the players it’s virtually impossible to replace him.

However, since Sunday (just a game and not a barometer) is that level of effort and unity needs to be a benchmark.

£125m and Bernardo Silva, I’d be tempted to deal. If Silva is on wages that we can broadly accommodate.

Getting really tired of the line: “If Kane does not secure his move to City he will obviously make himself available for selection, as he already has done”.

No he hasn’t, if you’re not fit, you’re not available for selection. Reading it next to a line saying he’s not expected to travel to Portugal just reinforces that

If he really wants a move he should hand in a transfer request and then get on with training and playing for the team until a suitor comes in with a sufficient bid to purchase him. Instead he (and his brother) have leaked to the press, refused to train, lied to the fans on social media (my extra week was agreed) and then been too unfit to play some part against the team he wants to join.
I personally wouldn’t let him leave without a transfer request, which he will never do because he wants the additional money. This is not about trophies this is about good old fashioned hard cash, with a medal thrown in.

None of the reports around a ”gentlemen’s agreement” seem to question what the contents of such an agreement may be.
Unless Levy has promised a move for a set amount, it is ridiculous to expect us accepting any price Abu Dhabi may see fit.
At the end of the day, the Kanes only have themselves to blame for signing a long contract without a release clause.

If this drags on I wonder whether he’ll start having niggling injuries that keep him out of games?
