Absolutely no chance he gets a bump on his already lucrative contract after the shambles of the last few months. What sort of precedent does that set?

I mean if we get 160+ you have to take that.

That's a ridiculous amount of money to turn down, I'd hope Paratici would invest well to replace.

The definition of failing upwards.

Fuck up your attempt to engineer a move via an unprecedented three-pronged attack on the fans, club and media. Follow that up with gaslighting your own fans for believing the very stories you yourself briefed to the press. Then, realising he's fucked any hope of an amicable move alongside realising that move was never probable in the first place, come back to work with his tail between his legs and hope everyone will pretend it didn't happen like some sort of centuries-old national shame that everyone vaguely recalls hearing about but doesn't really know about.

And after all that, putting feelers out via local tribesmen and Guild Hall scribes that it was all the club's fault and he's so angry at the club for it that he's actively considering signing a new contract.

Because of course he is.

Based of everything from Dragon and Herc, I am assuming that while it would be a new contract or out the door, I imagine the new contract would have clauses in it relating to a a fee amount (most likely £180-200m) but also on the provision we get CL football this year, then maybe a lower fee to active. Which, if we do not get CL money again this year, may be needed.

Either way, I was disappointed and annoyed with Kane, but, if he wants to commit to a new deal and gives everything to achieve Fabs dream that he’s been selling, then I’m all for it because I think, given the right players and Kane on board, it could be an exciting season. I think anyone who doesn’t want the worlds best striker playing for us (with a committed mindset!) may need to go to bed…

dragon1 said: regarding HK
they withdrew the fine after initial discussions with Harry sat

What I was told was that he asked for the extra time off and was told no but still took it anyway

The club let the story run as they have been livid largely with Charlie , harry annoyed them with the neville interview pre the villa game when we had a chance of cl or Uefa football he also pissed the dressing room off

Charlie has been leaking to there media the sun showbiz thing was all him as were all the sky and other media stuff , Daniel had had enough

Paul miller is very well connected both with the club and certain players in this case he is giving a statement from the Kane families side of things , the biggest thing you should take from that is that the Kane family are open to discussing a new deal with spurs

I can say with some certainty that one of two things will happen between now and the 23rd of Aug , either Kane will be sold for 160 million plus and Fab will have a good week to spend it in the window or Kane will sign a massive contract I do not believe the club want to do this all over again next summer its not good for Kane or Spurs

If this is sorted by the 23rd Aug I’ll eat my hat (less dramatic than the commitments made by others, but you get the point).

What a mess

I'm not too fond of keeping unhappy and uninterested players in the club, especially those who go as far as taking a week long unapproved "vacation" to show it.

If he gets rewarded for this farce of a situation with a new and improved contract then that says a lot about modern football, frankly. Embarrassing.
But we don’t know the half of it, do we? We can’t trust a word that the media says, as all they are interested in is filling column inches and air time. They have no problem taking a rumour and spinning it out for days, as they suffer zero comebacks.

They'd have suffered comebacks if either the club or Kane came back. But they didn't because both sides were briefing the same thing thinking they'd be the ones to garner sympathy for it.

I feel as if the Kane camp saw that they will not achieve anything by refusing to train and saw what Grealish with his agent have done.

Basically they want to copy Grealish. He had a clause in his contract which stated the exact scenario when this clause will be activated: if a CL club offered 100 mil and Villa wasn't in CL. His agent made sure there was a legal aggrement, not a gentelmen's one.

We've also heard that Grealish was ready to sign a new contract, that he wanted to stay IF City's offer didn't come.

Apart from some die-hard Villa fans, everybody understands Grealish's motives, club's stance and the whole situation.

city crying poverty can fuck right off!
They want him they can pay our valuation for him; if not he stays for another year.

Absolutely. It's not for us to help them find the money with expensive swaps either . Nor is it our job to help them look like they got a good deal.
You want our best player, make an offer too good to refuse, promptly.

As for Harry, as others have said enforce the transfer request. Any sort of "loyalty bonus" would be a disgrace.

What a shame it's come to this.

If he signs a new contract he'll just pull shit again next year so what's the point.

If he signs a new contract we will have tied down the best player in the league and greatest player I’ve ever seen wear Lilly White, got everything crossed he commits and cements his place as the Spurs legend that he is.
Very much doubt the powers that be will offer a contract that lets this all happen again next season.

I'd settled to him leaving and I'd be very happy if he stays and this stuff that's coming out now smacks of people stepping back from the brink which is a good sign.
Lot's of explaining to do all round but if he stays things will all settle down nicely with perhaps one pertinent difference; I can't help but think there'll be a power shift in the dressing room.

Or

One club man, one of our own, signs a new contrct wth a verbal agremment that he will leave if we don;t get into europe next year, trusting that he has given his all for the club and they will do the same. A year later he’s told fuck off you aren;t leaving. Th fans all believe Levy, despite the fact we know how shit he has been at the footballing side for a decade plus.

well done
