Basically translates as "I want to whinge about the club, but I have no valid logic for doing so".

Lovely.

Not at all. You are the one coming with nonsensical replies. It is perfectly legitimate to 'whinge' about the state of our forward line. Kane acting up wasn't the clubs fault but we knew Vinicious wouldn't be staying, and we've been in this situation so many times before where we just rely on Son (who is a forward but not a striker) whenever Kane is out. We are yet again going into a new season half baked in key areas.

Another issue is out of the front four attacking spaces, Son is the only first 11 pick, moving him upfront weakens us out wide. There is far too much reliance on him right now, god forbid he gets injured. Moura Berg and Alli are all squad players.

Essentially it's a bit of a mess.

Maybe we need to get away from the idea that being one of our own is something to sing about anyway or something for homegrown players only. Maybe it’s more a state of mind.
Not for me. It's for a homegrown fan of the club that's climbed the ranks.

The vast majority of fans who attend, aren’t reading all the rumours etc on forums like this. The bulk of fans love Kane, want him to stay and realise he is the best player we’ve had in years. So will get behind him quickly again…guaranteed. We’ve had people like Adebayor and Gallas play for us with backing of crowd after their pasts. Fans will not hold a grudge if he performs on pitch again

Oh I'm sure we'd all celebrate the goals like we always do, but that goes for whoever scores them, not just Kane, but he's not going to hear his song chanted to him ever again, I"m pretty sure of that.

But Sonny isn't one of our own. Well not in the way the song is meant imo.

I did think I was missing something every time I saw this suggestion. Skipp would seem to be heir apparent to the song now if he really does force his way into the reckoning (poor winksy)

I wouldn't put him in the reserves, but there's no way he should walk straight back into the team. We already know he won't play against city, I wouldn't include him in the match day squad against Wolves either. Pick from the players who've been training from day one. Maybe put him on the bench against Watford if he's been training well. I wouldn't bring him on if we're winning. After those three games there's an international break. Will he get picked if he hasn't played? Probably, but it could go against him. Hopefully everything will settle down a bit after the break.

I guess there's the Conference League games as well but I hope we give the kids a chance in the early rounds.

And as others have said I don't think he'll ever really be one of our own again. If he stays he probably needs a new song.

He had a big moan
He's training alone

Would starting Scarlett against Man City be too for the lad? It’s being thrown into the deep end but the fans would be right behind him and we wouldn’t be expecting too much from him. A few rounds of ‘he’s one of our own’ would make him feel at home and the place would go absolutely bonkers if he scored.

Personally I'd be all for it. The boy has no fear and he'd be a massive wild-card for us, so yeah, why not. I wonder if Nuno feels the same though.

Well I would imagine that the club thought that Harry would be, you know, a model pro like his PR is always saying and turn up for work regardless of the transfer situation.

Ok, you're either being argumentative, or you're showing a very limited understanding of what you're saying.

Let's be concise:

You: "We don't have any strikers"
Me: "Son can play as striker"
You: "Son isn't a striker"
Me: "What is your definition of a striker then?"
You: "This is ridiculous"

I'd love to see it, but think it'll be more like we saw vs chelsea with Dane on the bench. Last thing we want is to throw him in the deep end and him barely getting a touch in 90 mins on the way to a drubbing. If he gets 90 mins vs arsenal then i'd say that would make it more likely.

It would certainly be a ballsy move on Nuno's part. But the hindsight merchants would batter him if it didn't work. Actually, if we lose the hindsight merchants will batter him whatever he does.

This would actually be a brilliant song to break the ice a bit. We don't need to go in for a Kane love in or hate fest but a bit of humour is always good the atmosphere!
It’s up to Kane to break the ice. No compromise here, no meeting him half way. He has to do all of the heavy lifting if he’s to be in with even the slightest chance of rehabilitation.

And even then, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sing for him again.

Why hasn't anyone at Spurs come out and 'set the record straight' regarding Kane? They've left us at the mercy of the media and turned us against each other by remaining silent. The fact is that ultimately they don't give a flying fuck about their fans. Another reason why I've started losing interest in this once great club.

What would you like them to say?

Reckon it’ll be sung before we even kick off next time he’s in the team. Time will tell and I’ll be happy to admit I was totally wrong if it doesn’t
