I wonder if we select Kane to play in those European Conference games whether it means he cant play in any other European competitions this season?

This Is what @Hercules has said.

Fuck me, if it's true that Kane wasn't due to start training till tomorrow anyway, Sky Sports News has a MASSIVE apology to make to everyone for scaring the living crud out of us all fucking day long for absolutely no reason apart from them being utter dickheads who don't know WTF they're doing. I wonder how they'll try to keep their credibility if it's true! Tossers.

Not sure a player has ever been stripped of a national team captain’s armband because they’ve tried to posture or force through a domestic transfer lol, obsurd claim to say his eng captain position would be untenable.

People need to really calm down about this, we all knew it was coming and these big player moves are rarely straightforward especially when said player still has 3 years left on his deal.

There will continue to be tons of rumours by skyshitnews and the like, I hope the saga gets sorted soon tbh as we could do without it but people’s reactions are going a bit far, it’s football and business and players agents clubs etc are all out for themselves so bound to be some drama.

Kane is old enough to realise the impact of his decisions and he will have weighed it all up. If he’s posturing for a move that could be because he had a gentleman’s agreement and levy has gone back on it or could be because he’s fed up of having put in so much effort for so many years to now see the club be no where near the level he wants to be at, he has high standards of himself and those around him and clearly he right now values some team win money medals with city more than being a one club man, that’s fine everyone is different and if a lot of us had lived in his shoes we’d probably likely be making the same conclusion right now age 28.

What will happen will happen but not worth stressing over.

You say it’s an absurd claim, but it’s an absurd situation.

Can you think of one England captain who has ever behaved like this? I can’t.

Did Shearer down tools to get to Newcastle?

Did Lineker down tools to get to Grampus 8?

Can we stop making excuses for him?

He doesn’t ”deserve” to win trophies with City. We’re not talking human rights here. Everything he’s done these past months points to him being desperate to leave, and he’s prepared to tarnish his own image and that of his boyhood club. Hugely disrespectful and bloody stupid way to handle it.

Sell him and be done with it.

he’s cross dresser? Now that is news?

UEFA changed them in recent years to suit the big teams. You can move to a team in higher level comp and not be cup-tied, this even applies in January.

Even if City offered £100m + Laporte I'd take it. A solid defence with someone like Ings / Watkins up front is a better team than Kane up top with our joke of a defence. With Kane you're always an ankle away from disaster.

They're job is to convince people to be attached to any type of media they've put out. They've made it absolutely clear with their approach to reporting that they are willing to not only purposefully sensationalise things but outright make shit up.

It's your responsibility as a consumer to not have a meltdown when they do the very thing they've done for years. They're not going to apologise because loads of people took the bait.

The club won’t look silly at all. Sky would look silly

If it's true and Harry was never supposed to start training this morning anyway, there'll be a load of Sky's football pundits and reporters running around right now trying desperately to come up with a plan which helps them save face, after demonstrating to everyone how little they actually know about what's going on.

Oh God PLEASE be true...

It's all theatre isn't it... Harry's doing this little routine because he thinks it will move things along.... But it could only work if we thought he wasn't actually going to bother for us this season.

Is he really just going to sulk for a year?

We know he wants to leave, he knows it's going to take a lot of £££ - has anything really changed? Levy's not going to kiss goodbye to his prime asset on the cheap.

I agree with all of this except the fuckers know exactly what they are doing.

They must have known if he wasn't due in today & why were they even at the training ground for a player return from pre-season?

a; They have been tipped off by Kanes representatives that they were planning to not show up
b; They knew he wasn't due in and decided to spin the story regardless

Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt that they weren't clued in a good journalist should be fact checking. Sky have no credibility regardless of the outcome.

BBC are reporting that he didn't turn up, so who knows what's true or false.

Wasn't there ITK HK wasn't happy when we were looking to bring Dybala in, that never sat well with me, He wanted us to show ambition but not competition for his spot

He's probably just run out phone credit so couldn't get in touch. I assume he's been abroad on his holibobs. You know how high those roaming charges get.

I think Kane is desperately pushing for it because this summer may be his only chance of getting a move.

By next summer, he will be 29 and City may want a shiny new toy instead in the form of Haaland or another. Same with Utd and they are the only two realistic PL destinations for him.

Metaphorically speaking, Levy has been teetering on the edge of the plank over a pit of crocodiles for a while now, and I think he knows it. So to think he will go completely against type and cave to City and the wishes of Kane are ridiculous.

Its the asking price or no dice.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is on drugs. (Which is probably what the Kanes are on if they think amateur hour tactics like this will work ((if true)

I believe United would want Kane to remain at Spurs this year, so that they can bid for him next summer when Kane will only have two years left on his contract and will be cheaper. City will go for Haaland next summer.
