Whilst I have accepted Kane will probably leave. I do sense a slight change in tone in the media. Whether that is due to it looking less likely or somebody noticing they are effectively selling our player and are choosing to tone it down I am not sure.

I have been thinking about City and I don't know if they will sign Kane, especially if they win the CL. City have a clear transfer strategy they sign lots of fantastic players 30/40m plus. This gives them in insane squad and great players for Pep to work with. With the numbers talked about for Kane I am not sure they will pay it. Even though they spend huge amount I feel like we have seen before that when deals get massive they are willing to walk away.

Regarding the super agents, I said something similar over the weekend when talking with friends. If Kane really wants to move that is how he gets it. Without one it really is a case of here is the price, someone pays it or not.

I still am not confident Kane will be here come August and in all honesty I do worry about this all dragging on for a year if he does stay. It does feel different now though and I think we may have dealt with the worst of the media spotlight for now.

The media seem to be desperate for the PL to turn into the bundesliga. With city winning it every year.
See, the thing is… this isn’t true.

The truth is, the media really (and I mean REALLY) don’t care who wins the PL. The only thing they care about is money. Stories mean clicks, clicks mean more money from advertisers.

This is why they’ll contradict themselves (often in the same story). Create controversy, get exclusive insights, write stuff. Take the opposing viewpoint, and repeat.

At the moment, there are only a few clubs in England that can afford to buy superstars, and City are the current “most likely” give it a couple of weeks, and it’ll be United, or Chelsea that are most likely.

Regardless of the truth.

I don’t think the upcoming Euros is going to help our cause for keeping Harry.

It’s likely he could be the only Spurs player in the final squad, and he will be surrounded by United, Chelsea and City players. Probably will be some light-hearted banter about it all, but also certain players who will get in his ear. Perhaps even more than Neville already has.

Their clubs will still need to pay the money.

Spanish clubs being brassic has fucked the whole situation. Far more palatable to let him go to Real/Barca for say £130 mill than to a domestic rival, even if it was for another £20/30 mill.

I can't see him going this summer, as I'm not convinced that any club will pay what he is worth to us. A podcast this week (forget which one) likened the Kane at Spurs situation as a 'posh Wilfred Zaha', and whilst you can't compare the 2 players in terms of value/ability, I agree with the premise that they are both highly valuable and borderline priceless to their respective clubs, and therefore extremely difficult to see either being sold.

I might be pessimistic but i have a feeling spurs will announce the manager after Kane goes to try and ease the anger when he leaves. This is not what i want but sadly i fear this will happen. Not optimistic for next season.
might?...

Good track record.... things end well. You were impressed by the shit fest that was the players brought in with the Bale money then?

I am looking forward to Soldado mk2 lighting up the place next season then.

Levy does have a good track record selling players, that was what my post is about.

We didn't do well enough with fab 7 but thats not a reason to not sell Kane.

I reckon the financials are going to be too much for anyone to reach this forthcoming window. If they do pay the asking price, then fair enough.

Reckon he goes regardless next summer, unless we somehow win the league. Not sure the FA cup would keep him.

Come on mate. It’s blatantly obvious this is for SkyBet revenue. With the relatively low max stakes, everyone at sky are ordering the Lambos in at the thought of Keith from Manchester sticking £10 on Kane to go to City at 3/1

Sorry if this has been posted already. A search didn’t show up anything.

SkyBet cancelled the Harry Kane market after admitting they were actually behind the Neville Overlap interview. I wonder if they have refunded all bets?

This is too little, too late, and they should face consequences from the Gambling Commission and other associated bodies.

Issue with selling Kane is that to get what we would deem a fair price will take most of the summer. Cannot see how this will not drag out.

And if we spend any money beforehand it will be "Spurs spending the Harry Kane money"
and if we don't spend any money it will be "Spurs waiting for the Harry Kane money to start spending"...

Seriously though I am pretty sure we will set a deadline for acceptable bids. then the price goes up £5m a day :D (with every day passing making Kane's face more like the video above )
