It’s rather depressing to think we actually had son, Kane and Bale yet due to Jose and our shit defence, we never got to see its potential. If only we had a decent CB or two and a manager who isn’t terrified to attack then who knows.

I’m just wishing we do get one more chance next year to see these three in a full season together, under a decent manager, in front of a reinforced defence.

Blue Moon are busy arguing about his sell-on value.

Man City, vacuum of trophies and footballing finances, so wealthy they can let their greatest goalscorer move to Barca on a free, with their blessing, and occasionally let the likes of Jadon Sancho leave for (basically) free, have fans that are concerned about whether Kane would still have profit in him.

You can really tell when a small time club are 'new' to being a goliath!

Just that JJ thinks that Kane is more than likely gone. Not sure if it was opinion or what he knows :(

'I now personally think today sadly will be Harry’s last game in a Spurs shirt. It’s all about his ambition & unfortunately, you cannot blame him. I wish him all the best & hope he enjoys his career & that the prospective club gives us a healthy fee so we can reinvest & rebuild.' JJ's exact words

Harry Kane is an incredible footballer, we have been so incredibly lucky to have someone like him through our academy.

I just hope Daniel Levy fights his corner extremely hard this summer. We can not lose him for less than what he's worth and that value to us is £150m+ easily (reality is he's priceless). No room for half measures here.

If he leaves it'll crush me. If he leaves to Utd/Chelsea or for a low fee I may be done with football for a while.

If Levy manages to keep Kane he needs to do so whilst committing funds to overhaul the squad and hiring a quality manager to get us challenging again. It's all about ambition.

It's also about finances. We've had an empty stadium for a year, I doubt many clubs have money to buy our deadwood. Can we afford to "overhaul the squad"?

Still believe Harry will stay and persuade the chairman to spend big
Where do you think the money to spend big will come from if Kane stays? Next March we have a £175m loan to pay back to the BoE. The only way we spend anything if we keep Kane is if Joe puts his hand in his pocket & we have more chance of me shitting Gold than we have of Joe/ENIC dropping some big money back into the club.

46 more goals and he can leave….

J Greaves 266
H Kane 221

Why do you even want him to beat Greavsie’s record now?

He would have set a record never to be beaten and been a club legend forever more. The statue plans were already being drafted! He can win 3 PL titles at City but will never be Sergio Aguero. 4 titles at United but never be Cantona or Scholesy.

If he wants to go to an oil money or Mafia club who buy titles, then let him go now. His legacy will sit alongside the Raheem Sterlings and Kyle Walkers of this world.

I’d rather he wasn’t our top scorer of all time if that’s what’s important to him.

Joe will put his hand in his pocket and we will buy a new defence and two midfield destroyers. It’s going to be glorious.

You do realise we don’t have to pay it back immediately and it’s effectively zero interest? Also £175m isn’t actually a lot of money to our club in the grand scheme of things.

I know all the talk of if he leaves or not is what dominates right now, and rightly so, but just trying to ignore that for a second...

What a fantastic achievement to get top scorer AND top assists. I thought the assists might drop off a little as the season went on and he'd be caught, but to finish top of both is incredible. What a bloody player.

I'm not crying... You're crying...

Yeah, fucking brilliant. Should we all give him a standing ovation at the first home game?

Bitter? Me? Yes.

Twisted? 100%

You assume that the £175m isn't just sat in a contingency account, so can potentially just be handed back.

There's the potential that new sponsorship could come in, and there's a load of NFL events this summer, too.

Remember that transfer fees are very rarely up front, and can be spread over several years. There's a good chance that we have a load of them ending - I think this is the 5th anniversary of Sissoko signing, so there's that £30m paid off (£6m/year over 5 years)

How much are stadium naming rights worth?

Whether Kane is a club legend or not is up to debate. However, no one can deny that the top league scorer and most assists, should be in a team which is challenging for top honours. I think we're miles away and need serious on the field investment, and Enic don't do this.

Also, if Kane were to stay next season, that will be his 2nd season out of the Champions League. Remember he was the fastest to 20 CL goals which was recently beaten by Haaland. He is an "elite" footballer and should be playing on the biggest stage, not the Europe Conference League.

Finally, those comparing his situation to Modric, Bale, Carrick, Berbatov are wrong (IMO). Harry, has given us 7 or 8 seasons and is 28 in a couple of months. Most of those other players only stayed with us a few seasons (Bale aside) and left before their peak.

I will be gutted when he goes, especially as both my boys love him and he helped further strengthen their commitment to the club. I just hope Levy/Enic sort their sh*t out, as we deserve better.
I mean if that's up for debate then frankly I don't know who isn't. Regardless of what happens, he will go down as one of the greatest Spurs players ever, he'd get into a best spurs 11 with ease as well, and considering the strikers we've had that's something really special.

It's going to be a long summer, but in my head I'm already thinking about how to reinvest money we get from him, and while it wouldn't be a good thing, it will speed up a process that feels increasingly inevitable.

He’s off, I think the sooner we all get our heads round it the better, this will be a tougher pill to swallow than when Bale left
