man did an interview before the season was even over where he blamed his teammates for their lack of "leadership" (where were you in madrid, harry? zagreb? the league cup final?) for not having success and is actively seeking a move to our rivals. he's being a dickhead and either he leaves, in which case i hope his career tanks, or he stays, in which case he has a lot of making up to do.

What was clear was he has no desire to go abroad. Therefore the choice of clubs is down to just 3. City, United, Liverpool

If say Liverpool or United were the only ones willing to pay what is required would he go there over staying?

Obviously if City comes in he will want out. It's absolutely perfect for him. The no10 is free, penalty taker is free, centre forward position is free

So he must have got wind that City are thinking about signing him and have told him he needs to push the move through the media

Liverpool?

Those tramps aren't in the Manchester/Chelsea bracket of wealth.

Liverpool. LOL.

It would be an insane footballing and financial decision to sanction a 100m+ move for Kane, over say Haaland. Or M'Bappe.

Why on earth would you choose Kane? If we had the money and the choice to pick one of those 3, I wouldn't pick Kane!

When you have the kind of money that they have, insane is relative. Kane can guarantee them additional success and dominance for the next 5 years or so. With that said, if's a domestic rival, nothing less than 150m and some CL/PL add-ons to boot.

He’d be perfect for their false 9 system though, in a way that the other two wouldn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I think the other two are far more sensible purchases, but with FFP not only toothless, but suspended because of covid, City don’t really need to be careful with the pennies. They could buy Kane now and buy Haaland next summer for his release clause and their blood soaked sugar daddy wouldn’t miss the cash.

maybe i'm cynical but the "one or two signings", when he knows we're utterly strapped and without european football feels like a way of being able to blame the ownership for him leaving. he's learning from jose.

I do wonder how desperate Kane is to move.

For example, let's say City sign Haaland, United sign Sancho, Liverpool won't put up the money etc, so essentially, none of his preferred options are available due to signing a striker/not having the funds.

Leaving only Chelsea.

Would he still want to make that move? It's just as bad as moving to Arsenal nowadays IMO.

The idea that Levy sees City as our rivals is absolutely fucking hilarious and sad at the same time.
why not??? They see us as a rival, maybe not main rival, but we are one of few teams to beat them this season and who did they play in a recent cup final??

I get what you mean his passing and link play is a level above Mbappe and Haaland and would be easier to slot in. Him coming deep and providing for Foden and Mahrez and interlinking with De Bruyne. City’s attack would be a lot stronger.

They don't need Kane to guarantee them success and dominance. They're probably about to win the CL, along with the league at a canter, and the League Cup.

It's as though fans don't realise that City are going to dominate football until the rules change, or they lose their arab billionaire. We aren't winning anything with or without Kane. Sorry, I went on an unrelated tangent rant. I just keep seeing fans act as though football is fair right now, but buying Kane would make City too strong to compete with. I dunno what sport they've been watching for the last 6-7 years.

Not the kind of guy to make such an unforgiveable move. I think it's Man. City, possibly United or nothing for him.

Not to mention the fact that Levy won't sell to Chelsea.

We wouldn't sell to them - look at the Modric situation where Levy sold for less money (!) to Madrid rather than sell him to them.

Every year at the end of the season we hear this stuff...

We have actually spent quite a wedge in the last two summer windows. GLC and TN were significant investments for a start. While Mourinho was clearly backed last summer. We should have been splurging on a quality centre back, but at the time, most of us were delighted with both the 19/20 summer window and the 20/21 one.

I don’t see Kane as being deliberately disruptive - why would he be? Nothing to gain from releasing before the season ends. Makes no difference. Especially when we’re talking the matter of a few days. It’s just sabotage, otherwise.

Other than getting the ball rolling earlier than usual so he can head off to the Euro's without having to worry. This way, his brother/lacky can be busy dealing with the incoming enquiries and he returns from the Euro's knowing what's what.

The Neville interview was a "Utd please come and buy him" but I can't see him going anywhere but City if he goes. I think City for us is the best option. They will still be strong for a few seasons to come. Selling to Utd would be making them stronger and would be detrimental to us.

I used to like Neville, a good pundit but is now a pain in the arse. Thinks he's the voice of the people and keeps banging on about the ESL. "Have these teams been punished yet?" Give it a rest.

The saddest thing about the interview is that he's spouting machismo shit from the Mourinho playbook. His brain is fried.
