I dunno, I was off the opinion he would leave if we cant give him a platform, with Hugo leaving and a good chance Son will too. I sure as shit can see why Harry wouldn't be thinking of properly playing for top honours.
That I do agree, just didn’t buy this “I’ve been told “, when it’s obviously opinions just like us.

A couple of interesting points being raised around whether Kane has done enough in big games, and I've been thinking about that myself. As VC or Capt in Hugo's absence, is he doing enough in big important games? Obvs Kane is a once in a generation talent and we're blessed to have him, but does he also lack the mentality to take a game by the scruff of the neck and drag his teammates along with him. As a team we are so lacking a Terry, Rio, Gerrard, Keane mentality to become serial winners.

I think we've been here too many times with Kane where he looks absolutely fucked and some think it's because he wants out and then suddenly he'll score 7 goals in 3 games.

Kane did take a knock to the knee at the end of the first leg - hasn't looked quite right since and in retrospect probably needs more recovery time. I really thought he'd have been rotated more given the demands of this season and us having a strong squad. Seems like Jose is happy to flog him without much thought to the mid to long term impact.

he's been playing like a guy who knows he's leaving the last couple of games.

Yesterday in particular. I've never seen him not dashing back from off-side positions after trying to press the opposing goalie. At times yesterday, he wasn't even sauntering back but instead, just stood there.

looks shattered again. plays almost all the time, and pretty carries our hopes and dream on his shoulders.

wouldn’t blame him if we wanted to leave.

Maybe stating the obvious but I just want to remind myself that regardless of the last couple of games he is one of, if not the, greatest Tottenham players to wear the shirt. If he goes then his contribution will always be remembered.

A truly great player that I have had the great fortune to witness.

If he was going to leave, he should never have signed his previous new contract. He’s still tied to us for 3 years. If he wanted to leave, we’d be asking for a minimum of £150m. Nobody is paying that for a 28 year old. Not in the current Covid climate either.

I can’t say this for certain but Kane’s priorities may have changed now. Maybe his family come first? Maybe he still wants to break all the records at spurs?

I’d say it’s far more likely he stays than goes.
What would he be staying for the battle of 8th place?

I think if Harry said definitively he wanted to go Levy would consider it for the right price, but I agree the likes of Halland or MBappe would be a better long term investment, all depends how much Pep/City want him.

They don't, Haaland/Lukaku are their targets.

Regardless of our current situation I think Levy knows selling him would be the final death knell to a lot of this club’s fan base. Much moreso than Bale or Modric. So even though his head could be turned, which I wrote yesterday, I think the price demanded would be so exorbitant that it’s still unlikely to happen.

That being said, to those who think he should leave ask yourself how you’d actually feel. I know that watching local boy Kane pull on a “Fly Emirates” jersey and shake Sheikh Mansour’s hand would probably kill the last remaining love I have for modern football.

Mourinho is hoping that southgate gives him the rest he needs. Kane would want to play against san marino because its easy goals to add to his tally. Hopefully southagte will rest him for that game or albania.

I’m sure Levy’s had talks with Mourinho on our current situation, to get it from his perspective.
The only way to salvage Kane not leaving is getting him sat down with our captain Lloris and Levy and ask what the issues are and what would be the driver in staying longer and come to an agreement.

If it’s a common theme with both our top player, captain and Mourinho, that it is the select 5-6, and that they still have confidence with Mourinho to achieve something at the club, if these ‘player’ issues are adresssd, then I would be moving heaven and earth for one off transfer window in a big clear out to address. Then Levy can say in a October if there’s still no upturn in performances, that the inevitable has to happen and he has done what he can to support the manager and listened to key figures within the team.

However, if they say it’s all Mourinho, or even 50/50, for me, there isn’t much left in keeping Mourinho here.

But if he wants to taste glory then he has to move there especially at his age we can't be bitter about someone wanting to have medals at the end of his career to show the kids, no matter how much that hurts he isn't going to be able to do that at spurs the ambition level isn't there.

Lol people are basing Kane leaving on the word of Don fucking Hutchison.

What next? Are we going to hear what Colin Hendry reckons is going to be the next major signing at Real Madrid, or what Jason Euell has heard about who Bayern are interested in.

Fuck me fucking sideways.

That’s not certain. Obviously everyone wants Haaland, but I’d be very surprised if one of the Manchester clubs don’t make a play for Kane in the summer.

Every top club is going to want haaland , question is do they all wait until his 75m euros release clause activates or do they try and get him for 100m this summer. Utd need a striker, rashford, martial and greenwood can't lead the line. I think utd would be the only manc club interested in kane.
