And you call yourself a Spurs fan. Bobby Smith was the CF that won the double. Game was different then but he put himself about. Used to be able to shoulder charge goalkeepers back then. He’d wait till they jumped to catch a cross or corner then shoulder them into the net. Also was England CF back then could score with both fey

That’s crazy hahaha

He needs 33 to equal and therefore 44 for the season, which just isn't going to happen bearing in mind we're at the end of November.

I agree, but if the team start playing well he’s more than capable of a few braces and hat tricks. 4 of each and that’s 20 goals right there.

Getting into the top 3 was a massive moment today. He’s already a club legend in my book, but to think that only two players have ever scored more for Spurs than him is pretty incredible. I’m actually starting to believe he could beat Greaves’ record if he stays for his career.

One of the reasons for that belief is that I think he’ll be able to adapt his game to play into his mid 30s (provided he avoids further significant injuries). Forlan played some of his best football when 34/35 in a 10 position, and Kane is capable of doing the same.

I also think he’ll smash Rooney’s England record. I still like Lloris, but starting next season I think Kane really should be captain.

I reckon provided that we are improving under mourinho (still really weird for me typing that name) and we push further up the table putting in good performances in the fa cup and CL too I definitely think Kane can finish with 30-35 goals this year. The boy is long overdue a spurs hattrick also.

I think if Kane was to stay with us for the rest of his career, and providing no serious injuries, then I firmly believe he will beat Greaves record, which is just insane.

I also agree with that he will beat England's Rooney record, which is also mightily impressive. And yes I feel he should also displace Lloris as Captain and I think mourinho (yep, still weird) will do this too.

It’s really weird. Still think this is some sort of hallucination. My instinctive reaction to Mourinho is to think ‘shut up you ****’, only to remember he’s praising us as our manager. He must be the most famous working manager in modern football, and he’s ours. Crazy days.

I reckon Kane will love him, and Dele will hate him, and they’ll both improve as a result.

Absolutely loved that but with Snodgrass today. Snodgrass is a snidey little prick himself so was glad that it was him that Kane picked on.

Kane is such a big lad that he could do with a bit of a mean streak, defenders would be even more petrified of him if he could turn his undoubted skill into a full on beast mode, like Drogba was. Kane is a better player all round than Drogba but if he could add that bit of anger or aggression I think it’s great.

Looked to be tapping into it today pulling that Diop lad to the ground and winning a free kick that was class IMO

Totally agree with this.... he had 4 or 5 little fouls in the first 10-15 minutes today, Should had got a yellow for persistent fouling IMO.

I wonder with FA cup and champions league games still to play whether he’ll go above Bobby Smith (whoever he was ?). Must admit to my heart being my mouth when he went down holding his ankle after scoring mind.
Should do some research into the clubs history, Bobby Smith is a club legend, top scorer in the double-winning season

I feel Kane has been done a real disservice this last 18 months , and starved of the ball and service , I was loving it in first half, we played into and off him instead of letting him getting double marked, I’m so exited, no more superstar passenger,
Kane is the best 9 in the world, with our potential set up he could be beyond comparison

He is going to thrive in a Jose team. He loves a player like Kane. I think it’s time to pass the armband to him permanently now. Lloris has been a good captain but Jose should make Kane his full time skipper now.

Kane always chose his words very carefully regarding spurs, he said as long as the club is moving in the right direction he will be here. I can understand why he began to have doubt that we would continue on our trajectory but Levy has forced the issues hiring Jose.

In fairness, that’s cos he only knows about 8 words in total “obviously” ?

When Snoddgrass grabbed Kane I wanted Sissoko or Dier to come charging in and fuck him up, don't touch my captain

“I’ve made it clear that I’m at the stage of my career where I want to win trophies.”

“It’s a big year for this.”

“I want to win trophies, that’s clear, so, hopefully, we can do that this year.”

That's funny as Kane wanted Poch out, and Kane played his best game in 18 months Saturday.

30 goals in 39 appearances in 2019. Incredible some people think he’s been below par. Saying that we haven’t seen a full blooded headed goal like that from him in quite a while and all round Shithousery was stupendous. If he added that Drogba/Costa element he’s gonna be absolutely terrifying. Best part of the day saw one of his men down and just did what was necessary to stop the game, proper captain.

That bloke who said "Bobby smith whoever he is " is in my eyes supporting the wrong club and should look elsewhere to find another club to know nothing about. Bobby was the most committed and bravest of players and I watched most of his career .
I find this blokes comment insulting to the player to the club and to other supporters .

Quite right, Bobby led the line brilliantly for the double side & whilst I think Harry is a way better footballer than Bobby I'd like to see a little more of Bobby in him because defenders never had a minutes peace when Bobby was on the pitch. He'd bully them & create space for others to use & still get his fair share of goals, a great player.
