Probably the "gobbing off" remark got taken the wrong way by the PC brigade. Very sad state of affairs where you have to re type everything that you write incase somebody takes offence.
Lol. Couldn't give a shit about the actually slagging off, just seems a bit desperate to attack the journalist when the news isn't what we'd want.

FWIW, I think she's freelance but does a lot of work for Sky Sports.

There seem to be four distinctive camps waiting for the Harry news.

1. If it's bad news it's true. and anyone that says otherwise is letting there emotions get the better of them.
2. If there's no news (or late news) it's bad news. The later the worse.
3. If it's good news it's true (rather align myself to this group)
4. whatever news it is I'll just wait till I hear from the club or see Harry playing. (probably all those in that category have already unsubscribed this thread ;) )
What would be good news?

She is part of that youtube Spurs channel, cant remember the name but its a bit like ArsenalfanTV.

Dont think she's what you would call a 'credible' journo but she might have heard something from within the club I suppose.

There are people who clearly are in the camp where if it bad news they deny it or delude themselves. I for one often have fallen into this camp, but protracted transfer saga's and experience has taught me a lot.

I don't think thats what happened. I think it has nothing PC and mostly to do with the fact that the poster, while asking a fair question, is deluding himself (Like why would anyone lie about this? Particularly someone who is trying to make a living as freelance?).

Though mind, I think writing and thinking about what you're saying is no bad thing. Like, its generally polite to not needlessly be offensive. Like I don't think that PC I think thats just general politeness.

No ones attacking her, I asked about her credibility...wind your neck in a bit.

Right, so if I'm right in summarising for anyone else who came to this thread to see if there were any updates on Kane's injury...

Someone who is a freelance sports journalist (and Spurs fan), Emma Storey (@JournoSpursEmma) has suggested that no scan was performed today due to swelling and this may happen tomorrow.
Thanks to @THFCSPURS19 for the info.

The remaining posts are to do with her credibility, defending this or what we want to hear. Ta.

Edit: Now corroborated on a Sky Sports page.

Or, to summarise even further:

Is Storey's short story a tall story?

The best sign about his injury is that unlike how he injured it during Sunderland (where he was stretchered off), he was able to walk off the pitch yesterday. He'll probably be out for 2/3 weeks
