Kane has the same leanness as his first 2 seasons under Poch but the difference is he now understands the conservation of his energy compared to his younger days, at least in my opinion. You watch Messi for Barca and he is constantly sauntering but it allows him to make things happen when the times comes because he isn't gassed, Liverpool changed their system to do the same for Salah and now finally Kane is the right combination of Lean but wise. Expect him to have his best season by far for us.

He looks much leaner and has started the season with a bang. However we need to create more for him. Its embarrassing to see the best balls put into the box coming from Kane himself.

Agree with everyone who says he looks leaner. He’s obviously had time to work on that over preseason. Just shows how important it is to have that time to get ready for the season. He was playing without that last season and it showed on occasion but because he’s so good he could get by without it. Now he’s got that physical fitness back he will be even better. Fully expect him to smash in the goals again this season.

Apart from the relatively easy chance he missed from the Ndombele chip at the end of the first half...

The touches to set himself up for both goals seta himself apart from a lot of other strikers, the speed of thought and having that picture in his head, you just cannot defend against them.

His instincts and footballing intelligence make him absolutely lethal. Like you say his first touches today were excellent also. We are so so lucky to have him.

What is the obsession with this guys physique!?
It's because whenever Kane has a bad spell there's always a reason. He's "tired", he's still "injured", he's "carrying too much weight", rather than accepting sometimes he'll just go through a poorer run of form, that he's human after all.

Harry Kane within 100 goals of Jimmy Greaves (266) Tottenham record.

1.Jimmy Greaves(266)
2.Bobby Smith (208)
3.Martin Chivers(174)
4.Harry Kane (166*)

If Kane remains fit for the season, he will easily become the 2nd in list of all time scorers for Spurs.

First goal was well taken. The second, well that was pure Kane. Absolute beauty, to be so clinical whilst appearing to mahe it so effortless.

Certainly is one of the best strikers I've ever seen.

Using Parrott wisely will be key to Kane's form. We need Troy on the bench instead of the 3Dms we had yesterday. In the games we're leading comfortably he needs to come off and he shouldn't be anywhere near the League Cup unless we reach the semis. This will also be a good way of getting Parrott introduced to senior football.

Also because he is our main striker and when he has a down turn the team suffers, so people look at why he is at fault and not the rest of the team IMO

Its such a shame Levy didnt spend that extra 8mil for Dybala. What H is crying out for, Dybala would have been perfect picking him out. All well sure he saved the club 8mil.
