He must be the most high profile England footballer now since Beckham. And not a million miles off Beckham. Imagine if he actually wins something with England and spurs and breaks Shearer record. Definitely has the chance to go down as the most famous England footballer of all time maybe say greatest. He’s a sponsors dream.

seeing comments to his MBE award on social media - it's an absolute disgrace all these people criticising for how he looks or speaks. why on earth in this country do we like to bring successful humble people like him down? do you think Argentina and Portugal is littered with fans taking the piss out of Messi and Ronaldo?

honestly, the mentality of people in this country is shocking. and i get that it's mostly just rival fans, but its fucking pathetic and get me really riled.

Not just his looks etc. Already seen on his twitter feed ‘amazing what a hatrick against Panama gets you these days’, ‘he stole all those goals’, ‘how many of your goals were penalties’ etc... and also the following pic:

He could’ve scored 100 goals in that World Cup and there will always be people who pick up on the negatives. It wasn’t even that much of a negative imo. He passes enough, I can’t think of one striker who wouldn’t have shot from there in the form he was in. But I’ve seen this pic a few times lately, in particular since Sterling’s opener against the Czechs.

Social media really does bring out the worst in people. So much easier to knock than praise nowadays.

How many hat-tricks against lesser teams do Messi and Ronaldo have? Also, I believe both of those missed penalties in the group stages. Penalties still have to be scored, and I think he has now scored 6 of his last 6 for England. Regardless of opposition, you still have to put it in the net. Oppo fans are clutching at straws, and the amount of piss Kane boils is hilarious. Long may it continue.

I think this is because all England players play in domestic league. This is the only team like that in the world. As a club fan you hate rivals players because that's the rule, or because you actually hate them. And it doesn't leave you when you support your national team. I can imagine what you all where thinking when Wilshere was playing in England shirt. I'm pretty sure Barca fans can't stand Ramos as Spain captain and Real fans saying Pique is shit.

It's social media, people generally tend to be dickheads because they an hide behind their computer and say what they want without any retribution.

Speak to any normal football fan and they give him the respect he deserves.

Whilst I agree with the fact other fans are pricks towards Harry, Messi does also get canned by Argentinians

I think this group are trying to kick out the "them and us" feelings and bind together as England. If they succeed then maybe the fans will.

I didn’t like Wilshere because he’s a little shit. Same as why I didn’t like Rooney, Cashley and Terry.

I was able to get behind Adams as he was a great centre back for England (although chats a load of shit now) even though he was gooner scum captain.

For me it’s more if they act like a complete **** in general rather than who they play for.

Mind you, arsenal are so shit at producing English players lately we don’t have to worry about disliking any of their players in national team!
