He's a rhythm player. He's always been a rhythm player. Once he he has his full match sharpness back, he'll be in the goals again.
Not sure I agree that he offered very little. He was offered absolutely nothing the whole tournament and fed off scraps.Did you actually watch any of the games?
He offered v little from open play regardless of scoring lots of penalties
I still maintain he looks like he’s bulked up too much in the last 12 months.
He needs a break too but I bet Poch keeps starting him. He just needs to sub him off earlier and nurse him thorough games.[/QUOTE
I think he does look a bit heavier. Kane’s one of them players who’s probably not a natural athlete so has to find his optimum physique/weight to be at his powerful best. As you say at the moment I think he’s a touch on the Baulky side. Tiredness or mental fatigue could be playing a part as well.

Watch Lukaku. He was threaded clean through about 3 or four times and fucked it up every time. Thats offering nothing.
Kane never had a single pass to him in the box until the last meaningless game let alone missing clear cut chances. Greedy kid Sterling kept trying to do it all himself and fkin it up.
Annoys me when people think Kane should be capable of running around 4 players and slapping it in the top corner every game.
If Linekar in his prime had played in that team he wouldnt have scored at all.
Only one of the two is a friendly. The other is in the new UEFA Nations League tournament.2 weeks off soon, hopefully England let him relax and rest and don’t call him up for meaningless friendliest.
Which is a friendly. It’s no different to us playing in the ICC this summer.Only one of the two is a friendly. The other is in the new UEFA Nations League tournament.
I did watch the World Cup. I thought it was more to do with not having any service. Living off of scraps.Did you actually watch any of the games?

I agree I thought he looked out of sorts yesterday but not at the world cup.You know what I mean - nothing close to his best for Spurs
You’ve just added a random straw man argument of your own about running past 4 players - not sure who has said that to you but they are in idiot
But regardless he’s not as sharp as at his best when his touch and awareness make you worried for the opposition each time he gets the ball - not even worth debating IMO
Guy just needs a rest
Eh, we'll have to see. The Euros were new once and nobody thinks of them or the qualifiers as friendlies now. There's Euro qualification places resting on this, and more importantly there's a big fuck off shiny trophy at the end of it you winning by beating the other team in a final rather than some random pre season table. If nothing else it could be a great springboard for this England team against top opposition.Which is a friendly. It’s no different to us playing in the ICC this summer.

watching the game yesterday i dont think you need medical advise to see he is shattered. A new baby will drain you, no matter what your job. He looked mentally off more than anything, his main asset is quick thinking, just needs a break and some sleep!I'm hopeful he'll get a break if he needs one. I think it helps that Southgate seems to have a strong relationship with the clubs, and an unusually secure position as England manager. He'll likely listen to us if we say Kane really needs a break based on our medical advice, and not feel under pressure to play him anyway to get a result and secure his job. I was just saying that I don't think in general this tournament will be treated as friendlies - perhaps more in line with how clubs these days treat domestic cup competitions. I don't think England will be making wholesale changes or trying whacky formations or calling up Jack Wheelchair or anything.
There’s no Euro qualification based on this, euro qualifiers start next year. This is just a replacement for friendlies between UEFA nations to make them seem more important.Eh, we'll have to see. I really don't buy the argument that he's been playing the way he has because he needs a break. There are so many fitness professionals and experts that regularly monitor him I doubt we'd be putting him out all the time if he was exhausted or overly fatigued.
Agree that he looks off it but I doubt the reason is that he is getting up in night to feed the baby. Pretty sure he will have help with thatwatching the game yesterday i dont think you need medical advise to see he is shattered. A new baby will drain you, no matter what your job.
