It did make me question whether it was just a studio in London haha... but it did kinda catch me off guard but you kinda think about it and its a quick two dayer - private jet as good as a hotel. So yeah not like he is needing to go to Birmingham airport four hours before flight time etc haha.

So the balon’d’or is announced. Are we saying that Mane, De Bryune, Benzema, Mbappe have been better than Kane this calendar year? What a load of bollox. Scored and assisted more in a harder league than any of these players. Captained his national team to a final. I can accept maybe mane, won the nations cup, but the rest? Fuck off. Whether we like it or not, it’s always gonna be based off of not only individual performances but team achievements. Benzema will win La Liga, and if he wins the UCL, then he’s gonna get it, and deservedly so. Even if he doesn’t, he’s put up monstrous numbers and performances in the competition which should win him the award barring a Liverpool treble/quadruple or a City treble. Benzema has I believe scored more goals in all comps than Kane (this could be bullshit but I think that’s correct), will end the calendar year with more trophies, as well as signature moments. Kane has probably been a top 3 individual in the world, but he won’t be finishing in the top 5 or even 10 in the voting, that’s just how it works.

Finding a way to score at the right time in matches is as much a skill as scoring in general. If you carry your team into / through finals scoring a few less goals overall, you deserve to win best player imo. Would you rather a clutch player in your team or a cannon fodder?

United need to come to terms with their new reality. Why on earth would Kane go to them right now, joining a bunch of inflated egos, a far lesser manager and no champions league. Alright, they have a better chance of landing him this summer than Accrington Stanley, but not by much.

If Conte’s future is tied to Kane’s (and based on Conte’s previous I’d say there’s a good chance he walks if Kane is sold against his wishes) then there really isn’t any even vaguely realistic amount of money that we should accept for him. It’s a simple as that.
It’s a potential sliding doors moment for the club. Why would we self-sabotage? Whatever Kane may be worth to any other club this summer, he’s worth more to us. I’m certain of that.

He shouldnt have gone but did everyone else go? No, so what was the excuse for everyone else? I dont think the trip had much of an effect but optics and perception is everything if you dont follow up going with a good performance.
