The question I have regarding the Kane's leaking the story.

I understood the previous leaks from their camp, put pressure on spurs. However if they've got what they wanted and Levy has given in then my question would be what benefit would they get from leaking it themselves?

Surely if they got what they wanted already they'd be wise to keep it quiet until it's done no?

Weird how Baldini joined the summer Bale left and now we could be in a similar situation with Paratici coming in and Kane leaving. Cynic in me feels Levy knows there's a good chance Kane could leave this summer, despite the noises to the contrary coming out of the club. Maybe he wanted an experienced sporting director in to use his knowledge and contacts to give him an edge when targeting young and upcoming talent to use the Kane money on.

Also Nuno seems the type of guy to who won't kick up a fuss and generally tow the party line. Maybe someone like Conte was adamant that he'd only join if Kane stayed and the club could not guarantee that? Who knows, just thinking aloud.

This is what makes me suspect the actual story is that Levy has agreed to let him go for circa £160m, regardless of whether City will actually pay that amount.

People need to realise this is also a very emotional subject for us as a fan base.

Supporting Spurs naturally means more to some supporters and bring out different emotions in others hence the wide range of reactions.

Not everyone deals with things the same so we need to just cut each other some slack and appreciate this is a shit situation for us all.

Yeah but saying Harry Kane has made up a story that he was a Tottenham fan and now doesn't love the club is a hell of an over reaction don't you think?

If you take a step back and put yourself in Kane situation. If you’re really desperate to leave and levy finally agrees. Would you really then jeopardise all that by gossiping at a wedding. Surely it’s the last thing you’d do.

The first thing you do with the Kane money is go to Dortmund and Inter and ask Haaland and Lukaku if they’re interested. Almost certainly 2 “no’s”, but you have to try. After that, you buy a proven goalscorer from the prem: Ings or someone else. Then the question for me becomes whether Son should play centrally and purchase a top LW like Grealish, Insigne, or attempt to get Chiesa (very unlikely this player specifically) or buy a top young striker like Isak, Vlahovic, etc. I actually think in 2-3 seasons, Son’s style would definitely be best through the middle, and it may even be the case now. Sort of like Ronaldo’s development. He’d guarantee 15 goals a season at least, but I worry Kane’s departure could hurt his output. In conclusion, I hate thinking about Kane leaving, so please don’t make having to replace him a reality.

Well yes if you're on a group trip you get involved. At that age he was probably told to wear that. You've really taken it over the top.

Imagine Barca selling Messi. Dortmund selling Haaland. PSG selling Mbappe. Juve selling Ronaldo. Liverpool selling Salab etc.
Doesnt matter who we bring in. We aren’t replacing 1) the goal scoring ability and 2) the sentimental value that Kane brings over all of those apart from Messi.

If this turns out to be true then it is what it is. £160m is an absolute wedge.

He's a legend and of course I'd love nothing more than for him to stay forever but it seems that his head has been turned and its hard to come back from that.

Any team is weaker without Kane but if we improve our defence and concede circa 10 less goals, play a system that is less reliant on individual brilliance and bring in a Striker that can Score 2/3rds the amount of goals Kane scores right now (such as Ings) then we should be fine and it isn't catastrophic.

If he does go and even if he doesn't he is still an example of what hard work can achieve and also a testament to.our academy and youth set up to bring someone like him through the stages to the great player he is.
