Bingo
Look at the photo of Harry on his own applauding the crowd.
Read that quote from Ledley.

A player who in his prime was far too good for us.
A player who undoubtedly had offers and could've left in search of trophies.
A player who stuck with us until the very end.

This is my club, my one and only club.
A proper club legend.
Ledley could never have passed a medical for a transfer to another club and not just in his older years, his condition was chronic otherwise he'd have had his pick of the big clubs.

No one knows what would/wouldn't have happened if he was fit.
My point point is in the post above:

All I'm saying is people should hold off on the God like status they're gifting Harry.
If he forces a move he doesn't deserve it imo.

Think logically.. if other teams can win trophies without Kane, then we can do it as well. For that reason, sell Kane for more than he's worth and replace him with 2-3 players that can get us trophies.

Think with heart.. DO NOT SELL KANE PLS PLS PLS

I’m very sad at the prospect of losing Harry, and without wanting to venture into the reasons of body language expertise, that lap to the crowd was telling. However, fact still remains that someone needs to bid an inordinate amount of money for it to happen, more than his value, and I don’t see the happening but IF it does, then there’sa very good team that could rise out of that.

A man doesn’t make a team.

A team is, in my opinion, what we are devoid of right now. We have some players. We don’t have a team. That is what needs addressing the most.

We’re always going to have some kind of weird relationship with the players at our club. I sometimes look at our squad and think it’s full of cartoon players who don’t have steel or determination. They aren’t good.
I look at, for example, Everton and think that they have footballers (and we have caricatures or whatever.)

All other opposition fans would very likely think in a similar manner. That is why this feels so bad, because of our macro view of it all. Other fans will likely be thinking that we will be competing again next season.

Short-term the outlook isn’t good, granted. But if we look at the trend in how the club is progressing, it has only been going upwards.

Not entirely sure what my point is anymore.
I actually totally agree with this. The one problem, from a football perspective at this club is the idea that we are a team. We are not and for a while haven't been a team in the true sense of the meaning. We have a collection of players that have been coached to play our football around one or two great players, who on their day can literally mask over the ineffective others. This season under Mourinho we showed this more than any other. Under the Poch era, we had players that actually played as a coherent and balanced team. Kane, Son, Dembele, Eriksen, Walker, Rose, Toby, and Jan. This was the spine of the team, and under Poch, for a good, while we were a force.

Fast forward to where we are now, we still have a great bunch of players but they are not functioning as a team - there is no balance in midfield, no one who plays in the middle has a grasp of their role, the centre-backs have no protection, from either of our midfield pair, the full-backs are stifled in their support roles, as getting caught in possession ultimately creates a void behind as the wide attacking players can't or don't work hard enough to track back or the midfield don't work hard enough to close down space on the wings.

Kane's role in the team is questionable - if he drops deep, then no one competent enough can make runs beyond him to actually create danger in the attacking third. His role is almost akin to a free role, which is normally a position given to highly creative players, Grealish, De Bruyne have these defined roles in teams where everyone knows their own role, and those players around them have a solid framework to play in that involves those players with a free role, but isn't designed around them. We don't have this approach - we have an approach that says - everything is played through Kane and there isn't any deviation from that approach and that is a huge problem. What we need here is a player akin to a Grealish or Eriksen who can orchestrate and pull the strings in a creative role and leave Kane to what he truly can do - score goals.

When I look at teams like West Ham and Leicester, on paper, at least with West Ham anyway they are nowhere as good as us in terms of individual playing ability, but they do what they do very well and play as a unit of players, as a team. It's likely this will be a one-off season for them though. Leicester on the other hand has much better players than West Ham and could be considered our equals - almost. Once again though they play as a team with no one player allowed to dictate the structure.

In a nutshell, We have relied far too much, beyond what is considered healthy on a single player or two, without a cohesive approach that brings the players into a more team approach. Is it a coincidence that we sit here wondering what Alli, N'Dombele & Lo Celso's best position in the midfield is? Or how we bicker over who our best right-back is, our best centre back pairings are? These players we have aren't terrible, Lo Celso was lauded as a great signing, Reguilon was another 'wow' signing, N'Dombele was another who we were wowed with. These players have not just turned into dogshit overnight. They have been giving a shirt number and told to play their individual approach to games and directed to play with Kane & Son as their outlet or main focus of attack.

The great news is that this is fixable with the right manager, but Levy must give the new guy the opportunity to do this by backing him & with or without Kane we have a group of players that can reach their potential that honestly, we know they possess. There are though, without doubt, a good few players that are just not good enough or don't want to work hard enough for their place in the team, but that is where Levy must take a hit and get rid of. If Kane stays, then there needs to be a defined role for him that allows the team to play like one and for him to just stick to the idea that he is one of the best strikers in the game, nothing more.

It didn't look great at the end, but we had just lost again, europe has gone, golden boot probably gone, fans just booed team off, he played poorly.

I would be a little concerned if one of our own was laughing , smiling and jogging around happy as larry.

He looked like we all felt, i personally think he probably will go if i'm honest , but i don't think the lap of whatever it was,is was what convinced me.

I take your point though.

What makes you think a player of Grealish's calibre would want to come to us?
A club that competes for big honours regularly?
Big salary?
Champions league?

Us fans need to get real. We should be looking at the next grealish as that is the best we can hope for. No world class player in their right mind is going to want to join such a toxic club that has no particular direction
probably money, like Kante when he went from a title wining Leicester to Chelsea when they did not qualify for CL. Would need to sign more and show that we are serious though. Will probably not happen, but only positive i can think of along with Sabitzer, maybe Dyballa for the Kane money, and obviously a new striker. I'm just depressed about the whole Spurs situation, so just want a little hope :p

I'm certain that he is unhappy. I'd be seriously considering his mentality if he wasn't.

If we manage to keep him, its essentially a make or break window for levy.

Our recruitment and scoutng is shit. We don't pay the wages to recruit elite players.

Having 1 world class player is always better than a handful of decent players.

There is no way Spurs replace a world class player like Kane with a bunch Moura, auriers and Dohertys and don't come out an even weaker side.

Levy signed him up on a 6 year contract for a reason. I don't think he gets to leave personally.

We are all unhappy the club is shit but this make or break for levy is tired out old rhetoric it's the same every year with the same outcome.

Sorry if I'm rehashing what might have already been said as I haven't read through all the posts....

We've had Kane for 6 plus years we didn't recognize as a club we had a true world class talent and has we spent that little extra to win trophies and titles that would have seen him stay and end his career with us.

He deserves that and as hard as it will be he should be allowed to go and win everything that is available to him....he has been a great servant to THFC and he came along when we had the wrong owners....unfuckingambitious..... of he stays one more season great.....if he doesn't I wish him all the best in his next career in pursuit of trophies and glory.

It football and life. If he wants to go, forget him. We will move on, we will be here when his career is finished, we will have new heroes who will also come and go.

He isn’t a club legend, he’s done nothing of note apart from obviously a very good goal return in 7 seasons. Different story if he goes on to be record goalscorer and can actually get us over the line in a final.

We will look back at a good player but not one revered like Hoddle etc.

If he wants out and is forcing this, when we still had a chance of Europe to play for, he has gone way down in my estimations

And those of you saying he won’t kick up a fuss, if he knew about those leaks he already has.

I feel a bit sorry for Ryan.

Having to sit there and lie when you’re not very rehearsed at it is a little embarrassing.

This is a very weird take. Very opposition fan like if you will. He hasn't won us anything so he's not a great.

Individual accomplishments should not be diminished by lack of team accomplishments.

Kane has been the top scorer in the PL since 2014. By 20+ goals to the next best.

He is a fucking great player. As good an academy product as we are likely to see in my lifetime.

Of course it will hurt to see him go. But don't be bitter about it.

The way ENIC actually charged fans £60 to be shunted into the top tier while the lower ones remained empty.

Fuck these owners and the freaks still jerking themselves off over them.
But they will carry on jerking off mate in levy they trust.

I remember his debut and I said to the person next to me "he's shit, he'll never make it"... What happened next has been nothing short of incredible. The guy has worked so hard to get what he's got.

He sounds like one of us lying to ourselves that he’s not wanting to leave!
What a mess this club is in my phone has been buzzing since last night with abuse from hammers fans.
How has it come to this that they are now lording it above us sad sad times at a once great club that is now a pathetic shadow, swallowed up as part of a corporate machine and multiple events sports company.
The club has no soul or identity or football club it's time they went and we got it back.
