Future still a big question mark
It comes across to me that he's waiting for assurances of the club's direction, and hopes things improve, rather than wants to leave.

Nagelsmann + Ragnick + positive activity in the summer window would probably be enough to convince him to sign an extension before the new season starts. If things then go well, he could be with us until retirement (or close enough). If not, he'd still have a few seasons left in him to compete for trophies at a "big" club (potentially 5+ as, like Benzema / Lewandowski, his game doesn't rely on pace). He'll have the negotiating power (risk of leaving for free in 2024) and the hindsight to get a release clause written into any contract extension this time around.

Wasn't Kane one of the players pushing for Levy to sack Poch?
