This would be the Southgate who played Trippier in a meaningless 3/4 playoff despite the guy being carried off in his previous game. No doubt Trippier conspired in this decision, but a responsible manger would have sent him home. Trippier wasn't right for the whole of the following season.
Southgate is an extremely irresponsible and selfish manager.
Sorry but have you read the article? He seems to be quite responsibly saying that they look to take care of players and Harry was rested because of muscle fatigue and carries no injury. Whats so controversial?
the same southgate who gave injured phil jones six local anaesthetic injections for a friendly match? ?
Have you read the article? He has muscle fatigue and is he still suffers from it he could risk injury.Sorry but have you read the article? Who on earth would be so desperate for Phil Jones to play? One of the worst defenders in the Premiership.I think this is what Jose is seeking to prevent, Southgate did not deny this, he said he had trust in his medical staff. The idea of giving someone several local anaesthetic injections to get through a friendly is extremely irresponsible. Also its Phil fucking Jones not Messi!
We’re not talking about that thoughAlso I am not English but I think Southgate has done a remarkably good job. His teams generally play good football, he gives youth a chance, he’s tactically flexible, he’s not afraid of taking tough calls and dropping people when not performing; and he articulates his decision making rationale in the right forums clearly and comprehensively. Plus he doesn’t shag FA secretaries. All in all a very good job
I think those injections were directly into his brain...I think this is what Jose is seeking to prevent, Southgate did not deny this, he said he had trust in his medical staff. The medical staff reasoned that there was a 75% chance he'd actually play better.
True story.
No - I'm answering the headline "Gareth Southgate says 'we do not risk players'". It was a general statement implying an on going professionalism and responsibility that would see kane treated fairly.Sorry but have you read the article?
