LOL Glenn. Didn't work the first time did it? Liverpool tried recently and gave up. Why would it work for us?

I do like him though. Talks a lot of sense. I'm just not a fan of 3 at the back.

Hoddle doesn't rate Lamela or Eriksen and thinks Townsend is the second coming. On top of that he would probably pull a strop if we sold Defoe. No thank you..

It must be so frustrating being Glenn Hoddle: he's the only one to have discovered the secret formula for a successful football team: 3 central defenders. And yet...nobody will give him a job. Tragedy of our times.

Even worse. No opposing managers played the formation against him that allowed 3-5-2 to work.

A genuine tragedy for Glenn and all football.

Excellent formation but one that's really hard to get right, and possibly not suited to the Premier League.

Shit choice of players though. I'd rather the following:

Lloris
Chiriches Kaboul Vertonghen
Walker---------------------Rose
Sandro Dembele
Eriksen
Lamela Soldado

Capoue can easily be switched for Sandro, Paulinho for Dembele and Holtby/Chadli for Eriksen. Holtby could also be played deeper in Dembele's position and Lamela could cover Eriksen's attacking mid role too. You could even have Ade play off the striker where Lamela is to support Soldado. Don't think Townsend is suited to an attacking mid role but him and Lennon are options if you need to change formation.

I must be the only one I thinks that's a good formation, maybe tinker with the line up a bit defoe for Ade.

That is a very Glenn Hoddle team... same formation as his '98 WC team... Andros for Eriksen, Paulinho for Dembele and he maybe onto something.

WTF? I know Vertonghen doesn't want to play at LB. Why not just stick Eileen Drewery there instead?
Maybe she can heal this Spurs team? Healing hands on our team and a Tekken Fireball directed at opposing wingers.
