Not even going to bother guessing as it could by anyone. Good business though if we get it done.

I've seen Sanchez get bullied off the ball and beaten in the air quite a few times.

Bremer seems like a different beast to me.

No one is bullying him.
I do remember when he signed him and his early games he was a rock. I think it was a mental issue. Plus he was 21 rather than 25. I really meant the limitations which have been widely criticised and frustrated. I think Bremer would be a great signing, though!

The issue is neither present that 'ball-playing' ability that Conte requires in this system.

Davies has done well at LCB but the reason we wish to upgrade here is because Davies is not that player, he can't carry the ball successfully through the thirds neither can he play those first time passes.

Bremer and Badiashile both have limitations too.
It's a tricky one because if you go with Torres or Bastoni you have the perfect answer in attack but defensively you may be more exposed. Whereas Bremer provides the opposite.
Bremer is similar to Cuti, more aggressive. But also calmer. A born natural leader. Absolutely crazy rapid. Ferocious in the air and tackle. But he does have some technical ability.

Might be going mad but I'm sure quite a few of the clips I've seen of Bremer show him making challenges from the LCB position anyway? Danger of only watching clips I suppose...

The issue is if we sign Badiashile for example, we will have 2 LCBs, Bremer as our main CB signing.

I know we will be rotating etc but my point is mainly that with 2 LCBs surely Bremer would then be competing with Romero and Dier to start? Whilst we won’t have got an established LCB upgrade?

Not moaning, just want to see what others think about that kind of scenario?

I think it sounds too good to be true to be honest, however so does everything happening this summer and here we are. I think Dier and Davies deserve immense credit, I really do but can you imagine if we were able to get these 5 fighting for 3 spots, my word it would just be like a video game but it wasn't long ago that Dier and Davies were very much bench options and signing Badiashile and Bremer could lead to a frankly incredible back 3 for years to come but the great thing is that Dier and Davies would not be giving their spots up very easily with the performances they put in 2nd half of the season.

Cheers, I thought Badiashile had a little bit about him in the passing department?

That's the reason why I want him more than Bastoni even if we need a LCB.

Could Dier play at LCB? I know he hasn't but I'm wondering if he has the attributes.

Prefer this guy. Build from the back. Romero, Dier, Bremer - 3 beast wall. Not sure we need a ball playing LCB when you have our front line. Create a mean defence that doesn't concede and our front 3 will get the goals to win matches.

Could Evan N'Dicka be an option for a LCB who costs less. I think he plays that position and seems to be good on the ball. I believe he is down to the last 12 months of his current deal and either saw ITK or a report we have previously scouted him.

Yeah, that's the same assessment I came to. However, in the video I made/posted earlier, his ball retention is very low. There could be reasons behind this and I'd need to watch him more consistently but when I watched his passing from the left side, he's definitely more 'off-balance' so he could be pressed and that could cause plenty of turnovers.

Whereas Bastoni would have that ability to glide past or pick an accurate pass out, even under pressure.

One thing I will say though, is the lad can burst forward with the ball so it could be one tactic to offset his passing limitations.

Still not sure where he fits given we wanted a ball-player and his similarities to Romero. Too aggressive to be CCB in our system unless we change things up.

Still, good depth and if we got a promising LCB like Badiashile then could work out nicely.

Maybe he does. To be honest, that was a very limited assessment from me as I have seen little of him. So I could be very wrong.

Would be very intrigued as to how are back line would look if Bremer came in.

I've not seen enough of him really. Could he slot in at LCB? Dier has just had a brilliant season so surely he isn't dropped to the bench. Or can Dier move to LCB with Bremer playing in the centre. Not ideal as Dier isn't left footed. I just don't see how it would work.

The little I have seen of him, I cannot help but be impressed. I'm just not sure how we would line up.

I've known of interest in him from us, but I've heard absolutely nothing on this so really appreciate the updates @What Lies Beneath ??
