It is with great sadness that I inform others that Ginger Pele has been forced to retire through injury. A truly versatile player capable of playing in both forward and defensive positions and famed for his technical ability and never say die attitude during one of the clubs more illustrious periods.

Good Luck Gary massive heart and full marks for effort.

Maybe it is the absolute shitness of our team throughout a lot of supporting Spurs coupled with my age at the time, but I have strong affections for this sort of player despite knowing they were poor.

I had a more romanticised view of football and Spurs, and there seemed to be more good will and unbridled joy-perhaps through ignorance. But yeah, I look back fondly on these 'triers' who were a bit crap but gave their absolute all to even try and hit the average mark.

So yeah, good luck Ginger Pele- I appreciated your efforts in a time when we loved Spurs for being Spurs, however bad that was, and not because we could get into the Champions league.

A cult hero when football had more to it for some of us than money and Top 4

Something of a legend for various reasons that have little to do with being a superb footballer, I wonder what he'll do next. Certainly I wish him all the best.

He is up there with our true greats in that position. Lacy, Cundy, Vega, Scott, Bunjevic, Nelson and many more. He also could bring his skills to play CF and matched up well with Booth, Rasiack, Campbell , Armstrong , Moores and others.

Good luck Gary.

Fucks sake. I've had my scout following him on Football Manager ready to pounce. Now he's retiring

Oh well, all the best Gary (y)

Looking at the pictures on the bbc he looks somewhat of a Benjamin Button. He definitely looked older on his luton debut than he did playing for Norwich.
