I don't know how many people are interested so I've never really seen a need for it, but I have in the past been spammed for posting England youth stuff in the u21s thread, so thought with the u17 World Cup starting it may be worth starting this thread.

Thread can be used to discuss all young English players, and teams from u15s to u21s.

I don't know how much use it will get but let's give it ago.

I'll start by saying real sad news for Joe Gomez and good luck at the WC boys.

England XI v Guinea: Whiteman, Yates, Williams, Suliman, DaSilva, Kane, Davies (C), Edwards, Hinds, Willock, Mavididi #U17WC

    -------------------Whiteman---------
    Yates---Williams------Suliman----DaSilva
    --------------Davies----Kane----------------
    Hinds-------------Edwards-------------Willock
    ---------------------Mavididi----------------------

Know Hinds can play on the wings, would prefer Sterling there though with Hinds up top but if Mavididi has been scoring at u21s he's arguably earned his spot

Harder to maintain whatever he gets done out in Chile. If he gets canerows eventually they'll start coming out and it'll look messy whereas an afro he just has to comb.

    That's what I think anyway

That's what I thought, why wouldn't you put Edwards behind with Hinds on the right. Could put Hinds on left and Willock on right

    What happened?

Keepers funny also never really rated Davies, think he's just a heart on sleeve player so got the captaincy I reckon Wood would be better. Hope he proves me wrong

An England player missed an open goal.

Would rather have Will Patching in CM, don't really rate Kane either. Surely Marcus Wood and Will Patching would be enough and provide the Man City understanding

Can't generate much power, and always think they're quite telegraphed, like running straight

That is a wonderful save by Whiteman!

Davies looks our weakest player. Assume he's captain because of his attitude, but he has looked poor so far.

I imagine Davies is playing AND captain as he's a good lad, and wears his heart on his sleeve. Looks our worse player

this setup is just stupid, best player out of position, a #9 as a #10 and a big bumbling idiot up top.
