Brentford understand that deals don't solely have to be done within the window. It seems most other clubs don't.

I know nothing about this player.

I really don't understand why more teams (especially us!) don't do this, rather than a last minute scramble during the window.

I would expect the main reason is that they have 4 months to pick up a major injury that keeps them out for the following season and possibly beyond. Seems an acceptable risk for young kids on relatively small fee's like we have done with the young lads we have, but I can see why it's not a regular occurrence.

PSG can do one.

Not only have we had to compete with oil money from Chelsea and City, but from Liverpool as well, thanks to them.

They paid almost £200m for Neymar, which led to Barca signing Coutinho for the 3rd biggest fee ever, which allowed them to get Allison and VVD and accelerate to the top.

Very good use of their money, but it was made possible by that lottery winning ticket.

Let's get our mbappe thread in transfer rumours started now. We beat Bayern to one target, Barca to another. Now let's got for the hat trick Vs real 😂......for that special agreement we used to have 😭

Real Madrid are set for the next ten years, genuinely impressive squad building rounding if off with a Galactico.

lol they’ve a ton of forwards and midfielders as it is zaire-emery, Ruiz, Vitinho, Moscardo, ugarte, soler, Lee. Ramos, dembele, muani, asencio, barcola. Ok they can improve on some of these but they’ve spent fortunes on a lot of these players with no doubt wages to match. Where’s the game time for them and how do they shift those classed as surplus to requirements.

if any team in world football should be struggling with ffp it’s these ****s

If I was a PSG fan I think I'd almost be glad to see the back of him - the on again/off again flirting with Madrid is so dull.

They lost 370m eur last season.

The only reason they haven't been severely punished is because the owner is on the UEFA board.
