Best of luck to him, MNF won't be the same without him.

He is going to be a fantastic manager/head coach in my opinion.

Where did that come from?
I don't know you didn't put a link in your post :D

BBC:
Gary Neville has been named the new Valencia head coach, the club have confirmed.

Valencia CF have today appointed Gary Neville as Head Coach until the end the season," said a statement from the Spanish club.

"He will officially take charge of the first team on Sunday, 6 December ahead of the Uefa Champions League match against Lyon at Mestalla on Wednesday, 9 December."

Phil does all the groundwork and Gary comes along last minute to take all the glory. It's like your best mate fucking the girl you've been chatting up for ages.

Good work Gary!

Pros:

Good experience for Gary therefore good for England.

Good for England for an untested manager to get a top job in Europe.

Cons:

Jamie Carragher will now take centre stage on Monday Night Football.

I thought it was Phil Neville who was the head coach of Valencia.

Interesting appointment. Hope him all the success in the world.

Came out well in the documentary about the the Class of 92, seems very driven and an intelligent bloke.

It'll be great if he does really well, I'd be surprised if he doesn't go and manage Man Utd in the not too distant future.

Bloody brilliant! It's a shame actually, means he probably wont be doing MNF anymore! (n)

Good luck to him, I think he'll have a great career in management.

Carragher compliments Neville well but he isn't suited to be the lead analyst in that environment.

I pray Sky don't make a rash decision and bring in Redknapp. Henry can be good when he doesn't play it safe.

Sky are gutted.

Well done to him.

I guess we'll see how much of a poch disciple he is now.

Will keep an eye on them.

Huge loss for us and sky. Pretty much the only good pundit there is. Wonder if he will still go to euros with England though. He's going to go far as a Manager

Gutted to see him leave Sky as that means Carragher, plus Henry I would imagine. Best of luck to him, first game against Barca, so nice easy start to management!

Most pundits play it 'safe' and only really offer up the standard soundbites without adding anything to what we're watching and generally speaking, I don't knock them, they have been offered a well paying gig and meh, you can't blame them for taking it.

But Carragher is a horse faced whiney twat who at times can actually be embarrassingly shown up by the depth of knowledge of other pundits, especially Neville. They need to get his new 'oppo' right or it isn't going to go well for him.

Hmm, England needs a new assistant manager too

He's staying on with England as well.

He's not taking charge of the Barca game, first game is against Lyon.
