Prior to the game we walked around the ground and then down to the VIP entrance where we saw Les Ferdinand, Tim Sherwood and Daniel Levy arrive and then on the way up we stopped at the Bobby Moore statue where my dad spotted the one and only Gary Mabbutt mingling with the fans of both teams.

Did anyone else see or speak to him?

He was very friendly and had a bit of banter with some Man U fans who were all very respectful towards him.

We had heard that he likes to mix with the fans and was apparently sitting behind the goal as he wasnt suited and booted like the other people I mentioned above.

We (my dad and I) managed to jump in for a photo so when i get the picture emailed I will attempt to upload it. Years ago my mum got a photo with him so we now have a clean sweep.

Great to see a former player mixing in and helping add to the spirit of the day, just a shame the day didnt end with a smile.

Gary Mabbutt = Legend

Gary was in the crowd near us last year and does go as a fan.
He was on Sky Sports news this morning talking about walking out of the stadium and queing at the station with all the other Spurs fans, he said that the mood was pretty positive actually with most fans happy with the way we played and optimistic for the future.

That was the quietest train journey of my life. Gutted but a simmering uptimism was rising.

I saw Bobby Davro on my way out of the Stadium and I may have seen Jo Whiley as I was heading up on one of the escalators to my seat

Would have loved to have seen Freund.

There was a rumour that Ginola may have been there too but not seen any evidence...anyone know for sure?
