City won’t want to sell him to a potential competitor, just another reason he’s got Arsenal written all over him.

I’d like us to sign him for No other reason than what it would do the the goon fan base which is already in the throes of extreme mental convulsions during the last month

On the other hand, him choosing them over us on the basis that he'd be a nailed-on starter for them and a rotation player for us would be pretty amusing as well!

You would think but they're not, well at least a large proportion aren't. They really think Arteta is the messiah. Its fucking mad. Maybe they're putting on a brave face, maybe it's mass delusion, maybe it's the hope of what the transfer window can bring. I just don't know. It's crazy with a capital C

I'm really just following this thread for the eventual Arsenal meltdown when he goes elsewhere.
TBH I think he’ll end up at Arsenal. They are offering him a role as their starting no 9 and will no doubt pay the fee and wages necessary.

If his dream move is Madrid, I can see him going there even with less minutes. The wages may be comparable.

The top Arsenal journalists say that Jesus is by far and away Arsenal's number 1 priority this Summer.

It's pretty relevant, they are our main competition during this window and any opportunity we have disrupt them, whilst securing ourself a good player, we should take. Game Theory and all that.

I'm not sure about that, I think it is now Chelsea. But agree with the rest of what you say, we should fuck them about as much as possible for shits and giggles!

As much as I like the way you think, do you think Jesus joins us over arsenal with everything they can give him.

Also I am not sure he is as a massive priority for us, than he is for them.

To put it in perspective, Jesus to them is what Bastoni and Perisic are to us. We obviously have one of those two.

Chelsea are somewhat unknown due to new ownership, are they going to make a splash or cautiously take stock of what they have? I do believe this takeover brings them closer to us but the last 15 years they've attracted players with a higher reputation consistently and gazumped us on major deals.

I don't really care where he goes (wish he could go to the goons and chavs!)

Doesn't improve either IMO.

He is suited to City and no one else plays like that.

If he is number 1 on their list but 3rd or 4th on ours and we seemingly don't have a clear number 1 ourselves for the attacking position then it only increases the reasons we should sign him and pushes him to our number 1 target in my mind. Weakening your opposition whilst strengthening your own squad is something really overlooked in all transfers by the media and fans. Definitely should come into the calculation with all high performing football clubs.

I agree Jesus seems to want first team football and knows Arteta so maybe that is too big a hurdle to overcome. Conte is a much bigger draw than Arteta but Jesus might have built a lot of trust in Arteta when they worked together at City.
