I hope Levy reads my posts and appoints me ;-)

Jokes aside, I think we need a Tixki or Moggi to really pull us up in the world of football. A string puller, puppet master and deal broker. DL is a great chairman but I think he combative negotiating skills have alienated us a little. Sometimes you need the iron fist, others you need it covered in a satin glove

I think the NDP is going to take up the lion's share of Levy's time over the next few years, so a recruitment specialist is a great idea.

I'm not going to endear myself for writing this without clarification but some posts in this thread are hilarious!!
I can't say the full details but Tim is highly thought of by Daniel. AVB isn't running the club he is just a coach.
Ian Broomfield wasn't sacked he left on his own accord and is still very close with Daniel.
Don't see the point of Baldini either.

Hi JJ
Longtime no speak. Hope you are well.
Can we expect a Baldini announcement today as is being reported in the media? Ryan, via yourself I presume, has also hinted at the same.

Sounds good to me, hope he would be able stop Levy moving the goalposts in the latter stages of a transfer in order to get a better deal only to leave empty handed

What makes you think that's how it works?

If he can find us a couple of talented unknowns who then blossom under AVB it will be more then worthwhile.

Like BAE, Kaboul, Dawson, Walker, Naughton, Lennon, Huddlestone, Rose, Townsend, Kane, Bale and Caulker you mean?

I tell you what our club's got a really bad record of signing promising youngsters for under £6m and bringing them through to the first team! Must be one of the worst in the league, not like Everton say, who's first team must be full of Moyes' astute bargain buys! :)

Ours is better now that PBS has replaced work permits.

Points Based System? I confess I've no idea how that works, can you precis it for me? Also, as I understood it, and I may be incorrect, Portugal have quid pro quo deals with certain South American countries, such as Brazil, which means it's very easy to come and play for Portuguese clubs, even at a young age before having established yourself as a top pro.

More that Portugal's immigration/work permit system is geared towards South America!

Another factor is the relaxed approach to third party ownerships in Portugal, which also seems to be geared towards South America.
