Confirmed. Al Ahly advances in the signing of Kessié. Today this is the most real path for the Ivorian. The player opens up to this possibility. More details on

Not sure how reliable but Italian press saying Middle Eastern offers a strong option for Kessie but seems he might have a preference for us vs Juve

BARCELONA’S FRANCK KESSIE PREFERS TOTTENHAM OVER JUVENTUS

Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is currently more keen on a move to Tottenham than Juventus.

Corriere della Sera have reported about the situation of the Ivorian midfielder today, stating that the Bianconeri and club manager Max Allegri is a huge admirer of the player and wants him in the squad next season. But Juve’s courting for the player has toned down in recent days. If anything, it has become more passive.

He currently prefers a move to Spurs over the Bianconeri and he would even give preference to rich offers from the Middle East over the Old Lady. A final decision is yet to be made but it seems as Juve might not be able to land the ex-Milan man.

Who choses us over Juve? I'm already strongly questioning his mentality.

Not sure we should be loading the midfield with more players that will head off to afcon. Already have Bissouma and Sarr so a bit better balanced option would be sensible.

If there’s a premier league premium why isn’t there a Saudi premium? They genuinely are loaded.

You can't help but think Barcelona don't rate him if they've only valued him at €15 million to a Saudi club.

Looks like he's torpedoed his own career when he signed for Barca. He'll make a load of money but nobody will give a shit. There's something wrong about Bosman signings being sold off as quickly as this.

Which sort of makes my point, he's not worth his wages and they want to get shot.
Not saying you're wrong about the fee... but given Barca have recently (last couple of seasons) had to get a few players to take paycuts, I think wages off the books is a big factor for them more than the fee.

Opinion on the Saudi stuff, I'd imagine part of why the fees may seem 'low' could be because they might be in a position to pay more upfront.

It’s a cautionary tale isn’t it though? He should be in his absolute prime.

He should have more carefully considered his destination when leaving Milan. He runs the risk of a good career fading into nothing more than a pay cheque. He has time to turn it round, but it’s not a good look for him.

First team football is key, in an environment where you can thrive - I hope others sit up and take notice. I’m sure they won’t.

Mostly because they're hoovering up players that clubs are desperate to get rid of but can't find buyers due to high wages ...
