I know we have played just 3rd PL game this seaon. But the best thing I will say about Nuno is, look at how settled the XI already is.
We already have a settled back line. I can predict the line up already. Last season, we had like 20 different backlines - XI was never settled. In out , in out - no body except Kane-Son knew what will happen to them week to week.

Nuno has completely changed yet - yes, we still have new players to integrate but they will come as natural progression and wont be chop & change for the sake of it

the players who were thought were uncoachable under jose now have 3 clean sheets, including one against the reigning champions.

we need more attacking support BADLY. that being said, Nuno is clearly an excellent coach.
So spot on.

Just shows the difference in a manager who focuses on coaching the players and keeping things simple and giving them confidence and playing a system to suit them and not creating drama and trying to stroke his own ego and dropping them left right and centre and playing stupid mind-games.

Given the Kane drama and the relative lack of big strengthening of the 1st team to get 9pts from 9 in the first 3 games with 2 of the 3 games being very tricky and to have no conceded a goal and to have built back such a positive vibe amongst the fans and building the squad to be tight knit again absolutely phenomenal job so far from Nuno, looking like his calm, positive, strong, balanced personality was just what we needed after toxic Jose.

Could be the Brentford manager too because they are newly promoted & unbeaten, but Nuno ? should get it.
Ah, that’s a good shout I forgot about Thomas Frank and Brentford.

100% win rate in Premier League with Spurs (including a victory against the current Premier League champions), 0 goals conceded… Would be a shame if Nuno is somehow pipped for it.

SUCH a key point!!!

It was Sanchez & Dier then Toby & Dier then Rodon & Sanchez, Aurier and Doherty both got games, Bale and Dele in and out the squads, Bergwijn starts then misses one chance vs Liverpool then dropped it was too inconsistent and brutal, we were the Kane and Son team and that could only carry us so far, Nuno has come in and given us a consistent back 4 and consistent system and structure and not only does it help results but it helps with the unity of the group as everyone knows where they stand.

I like the focus on training, fitness, keeping players healthy, and using sports science.

the fucking fraud didn’t care about these things at Tottenham. Now we got someone who does

Jose is notorious for leaving players to work on their own fitness, he focuses more on the tactical side of things. He is from the old school thought of players rising to the challenge themselves cause it builds stronger characters.

But United fans knew this because Solskjaer struggled to get them up to speed in the beginning.

didnt he win 9 out of 10 games in all comps when he took over ??

He did but then they dropped right off and struggled for quite a while.

I think the players who'd been cast aside came in and put it in.

I know loads of United fans who said their fitness was an issue for quite some time.

I think Solskjaer slowly realised players needed to be put on programmes. Lukaku was generally packing a few extra kilos and Jose even called him out on it.

Three PL wins from three matches, three goals scored zero conceded. Top of the league but what I love is his response in the O/S interview when asked how close this team is in terms of style of play and the way the team are performing. His response- "Oh we are very far...very far..very far..very far, I think honestly you can see, you can see the movements that we had but we need to finalise the actions. The improvement from the first half to the second half was good but we still have a long way to go." Anyone worried about us looking anything like a Jose team needs to listen to the whole interview to hear how different his philosophy is. He is all about the collective, being compact and organised and working hard for your team mates. He is not about sitting back at all. Great work so far Nuno. To take a work in progress to the top of the league is wonderful. I look forward to watching your team develop.

How our team has set up defensively has surprised and impressed me thus far. Fair play Nuno...nice to see what was labelled as an "uncoachable" bunch of players, "coachable!" Special mention to Sanchez.

More please

What these 3 performances have earned Nuno is extreme buy-in from the players. With the exception of Tanguy, I bet the players are giving their all in training and collectively pushing each other to improve. Our team is far from the finished product but with most quality things, the process is usually methodicak and deliberate. We're either seeing incremental improvement in player performances or defensive shape or attacking cohesion. Once it all comes together, we'll be a sight to behold.

I agree that interview is really insightful. He wants to go for perfect. Freakin' love the way he talks when he likes a question. Nuno is building.

If you'd come on here in June and said we would get 9 points from 3 games, with 0 goals conceeded, playing with Sanchez and Dier at CB and with nuno as manager you'd have been laughed off the forum.

Lots of work still to be done, and plenty of room for improvement but so far so good.

Full credit to both Nuno and the players. It just shows you don't ALWAYS have to ditch players as soon as they have a mediocre or poor season.

I think Skippy and PEH need loads of credit for the protection they are giving Dier and Sanchez. Been very good to watch.
